Giants head coach John Harbaugh said Thursday that Nabers (knee) is in the "slog of [his rehab], the grind of it," with the goal of returning to practice at some point in training camp, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Nabers tore his meniscus in addition to his ACL last fall, creating fears about an extended rehab timeline relative to other ACL injuries. Those concerns were compounded in mid-May when it was revealed that Nabers had undergone a minor procedure in April to remove scar tissue that was causing stiffness in his surgically repaired knee. The Giants said the procedure wasn't expected to impact Nabers' timeline, but it does seem clear that he won't take part in offseason practices and won't be a full-go for the start of training camp. Week 1 may still be the goal, but Harbaugh seemed to acknowledge Thursday that he can't count on Nabers being ready by that point
In building John Harbaugh’s first team as New York Giants head coach, the Giants seemed to focus largely on revamping a woeful defense and fixng a shaky kicking game. They did not, though, ignore supplementing the offense to help second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart . The Giants drafted guard Francis Mauigoa No. 10 overall and wide receiver Malachi Fields No 74 overall. The signed tight end Isaiah Likely , and added receivers Darnell Mooney and Calvin Austin after losing Wan’Dale Robinson in free agency. So, how good is Dart’s supporting cast? Ralph Vacchiano of FOX Sports ranks the personnel around Dart 20th among the NFL’s 32 teams . He wrote: If Malik Nabers hadn’t torn his ACL last season, the Giants would be higher on this list. Maybe much higher. They have a deep receiving corps without Nabers, especially after signing Darnell Mooney and drafting Malachi Fields in the third round this offseason. And the addition of Isaiah Likely gives the Giants potentially the most dangerous TE they’ve had in years. They also have what one scout told me is a “sneaky good” running game behind a much-improved offensive line. If second-year back Cam Skattebo can fully recover from his devastating leg injury, he’ll join Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary in a potent rotation. All that may be enough for the offense to be good around second-year QB Jaxson Dart, “but Nabers changes everything,” one scout told me. “I didn’t think he played great as a rookie (in 2024). He had too many drops and his quarterback play was awful. But look at the numbers he put up (109-1,204-7). With better quarterback play and help around him, he could be a monster.” Of course, that’s when he’s fully recovered. Nabers recently had another procedure on his knee and his status for Week 1 is uncertain. Is Vacchiano’s ranking accurate? Probably, if you consider putting the Giants somewhere from 14-20 in the midpoint. The Giants are not barren of talent on offense. Nor are they overflowing with riches. The Giants were 16th in the NFL in points per game a season ago at 22.4, the exact midpoint of the league. There are several reasons they could be better than that. If Nabers and Cam Skattebo are healthy and productive for all or most of 2026, that would be a plus. Improvement from Dart in Year 2 would be a plus. If Isaiah Likely, Darnell Mooney, Calvin Austin, and Malachi Fields are better than Daniel Bellinger , Wan’Dale Robinson and the backup receivers the Giants used in 2025, that is another plus. If Sisi Mauigoa justifies being the 10th overall pick and the offensive line remains healthy, that should bring improvement. Offense was not the Giants’ problem in 2025, and there is certainly potential for improvement in 2026

Giants running back Cam Skattebo, recovering from severe leg and ankle injuries suffered in October, expects to be ready for Week 1 against the Cowboys. He is focusing on the mental aspect of his recovery but is confident in his return
The Giants held a town hall event for fans in New York City on Monday night and it included an update on running back Cam Skattebo 's condition. Skattebo's play was one of the few highlights of the 2025 season, but the good feelings he generated during his rookie year were put on hold when he suffered severe leg and ankle injuries in October. Skattebo said on Monday that he is still working his way back to full strength and that he expects to be there in time to face the Cowboys on the first Sunday night of the regular season. “Obviously there’s ups and downs in the injury process and coming back and rehabbing, but the mental battle has been the hardest part: making sure that I trust it fully,” Skattebo said, via Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press. “I’m a little ways out. Not too far, but I’ll be ready to go. Week 1, I’ll be ready to go.” The Giants are also waiting on wide receiver Malik Nabers to return from a torn ACL and getting both players back to their top form would be an excellent way to set John Harbaugh up for success in his first year on the sideline in New Jersey
Football season is inching closer as NFL rookies and veterans meet on the field for the first time for organized team activities this week. As fans become increasingly hungry for football as the offseason progresses, it can be hard to stay focused on the few things that matter during this time of year. If you’re willing to sift through some noise, there are things to glean from OTAs — just not the things people tend to interact with or get excited about. What matters and what doesn’t: Rookie minicamps | NFL schedule release Most of the time, veteran players not showing up to OTAs is a non-story. Ultimately, OTAs are optional, even if the pressures within the sport make it feel mandatory. If a veteran player doesn’t show up, there’s no rule being broken here. However, it’s definitely advantageous to have everyone working together as soon as possible. For example, this week Aaron Rodgers returned to the Steelers right at the start of OTAs so that he could get started with new Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy, who happens to be his old coach from Green Bay. Getting Rodgers back in town now before the start of mandatory minicamp gives them the best chance to maximize what could be Rodgers’ last year in the NFL. That’s one veteran attendance situation that really matters because the Steelers have high expectations (for themselves) this year. Jacoby Brissett holding out from the Cardinals isn’t quite as juicy. Find NFL tickets on Gametime | More NFL team schedules Around this time of year, there are more health updates on players and draft picks who have been recovering from injuries, which is important because the season really isn’t that far away. An injury that’s still lingering in May or has a setback — like, potentially, Malik Nabers’ — is absolutely in range of impacting the actual regular season. Especially for players who suffered a season-ending injury last year, this is the first time they’ll be able to get back in some sort of action with their team and gauge how they’re feeling. How much players are able to do (or not) does actually matter right now because training camp is only two months away. While rookie minicamp doesn’t tell much, OTAs do start to put together the puzzle of what they’re going to be asked to compete for in their first NFL seasons. Seeing the early plans for where rookies are going to line up starts to give a clear picture of how their first seasons can go. While “working with the first team” reports don’t always matter, sometimes they do. It at least can mean that a young player is getting acclimated in a quick manner — especially for late draft picks or undrafted free agents. Play 2026 Soccer Pick 'Em with FOX One and make your picks for the world's biggest soccer tournament It’s just too early to take much from depth charts that hit the internet during this time. Most of them just don’t matter right now — especially for teams that faced a ton of turnover in the offseason. It’s not likely that the Dolphins’ lineup for OTAs will be the same when the team takes the field Week 1. So much has to happen before player roles get finalized that the only thing to really take away from this is what specific position guys are going to play — which we mostly already know. Although, last year gave us a pretty nice dopamine hit by seeing Travis Hunter listed at wide receiver and cornerback in the NFL. Sadly, there’s nothing that exciting this year. All we have is the trolls who will try to make a big deal out of something like Kirk Cousins being named the starting quarterback for the Raiders. Don’t get bogged down here. Save your disappointment or rage for late August. It’s May. No pads are on. It’s May. No pads are on. It’s May. No pads are on
The NFL schedule released last week and we got a nice injection of fantasy football debate and content to further fuel the offseason. The next stop is OTAs, which begin for most teams this week or next. Below we’ll go over some lingering questions and storylines that we’ll be monitoring during OTAs and as we progress toward the summer and minicamps and training camp. We got a report from ESPN’s Jordan Raanan last week that Nabers underwent a second procedure on his right knee that needed surgery to repair a torn ACL suffered in Week 4 of the 2025 regular season. It was just a “clean-up” of the knee, that also needed a meniscus repair. Ummm, okay. So initially the timeline was for Nabers to be ready for training camp in July. The Giants remain hopeful Nabers will be ready for Week 1 when the team takes on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football at home. But let’s be real, all of that feels like a best case scenario for Nabers. As a fantasy manager, it looks like a blatant red flag. Right now, Nabers’ early average draft position, per FantasyPros, is 19.7, putting him as the WR7 off the board. We should see that number continue to fall down; Nabers was being viewed as an early second-round pick before this news. At some point his ADP will stabilize and he’ll either be a risky choice or a value depending on how his recovery progresses over the summer. San Francisco and Aiyuk are headed for a breakup after a messy saga the past season. Aiyuk didn’t play at all in 2025 and missed most of 2024 due to injury after signing a massive four-year, $120 million deal after two consecutive seasons over 1,000 receiving yards. Aiyuk. hasn’t been released yet, but whenever that ball drops, it’ll be interesting to see where the disgruntled wideout lands. Rumors have him going to Washington to pair up with Jayden Daniels . The Commanders drafted Clemson WR Antonio Williams to pair with Terry McLaurin , but there’s not much depth outside those two (unless you count Luke McCaffrey ). Wherever Aiyuk lands, it won’t alter the the fantasy landscape, but he’s still someone who could take some targets away from other receivers. Depending on how healthy he is and where he signs, Aiyuk could be an interesting sleeper late in drafts. Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2026 NFL season We were all just waiting for this ball to drop really. The expectation was always for Rodgers to either retire or return to Pittsburgh for a second season . He has a familiar new head coach in Mike McCarthy and a few more weapons in the passing game in Michael Pittman Jr. and newly-drafted WR Germie Bernard . The 42-year-old had a few fantasy-relevant weeks in 2025 but Rodgers is mostly just a streaming option in deeper formats . Still, his return is good news for DK Metcalf , Pittman and Bernard when you consider Mason Rudolph or Will Howard would have been the alternatives. Diggs was recently back in the news after being acquitted after an alleged dispute with a private chef . So it seems teams are eyeing the veteran wideout to add depth as we head into OTAs. Some teams being rumored as a landing spot for Diggs include the Ravens, Chiefs and Commanders. With the Patriots last season, Diggs finished as the WR28 in fantasy points per game. With 85 catches on 102 targets for over 1,000 yards and four touchdowns. Diggs was coming off a torn ACL suffered while with the Texans in 2024. The 32-year-old veteran showed he still has something left in the tank and could be a late-round target depending on where he lands. Jones being one of them after rupturing his Achilles late in the 2025 season. He’s been progressing in his recovery and more recently has been dropping back and throwing the football. The New York Giants need veteran players to return to previous levels of play for a successful 2026 season. While there are concerns about young players like Nabers returning from injury, and the development of Jaxson Dart, established veterans must also step up to make the Giants legitimate playoff contenders
We are now in the throes of the NFL offseason, and the vast majority of roster building has been done. So, let’s begin going position-by-position through the New York Giants roster to see if they are better, worse, or perhaps the same as they were in 2025. We will begin at wide receiver. Key additions: Darnell Mooney, Calvin Austin , Malachi Fields Key losses: Wan’Dale Robinson Roster : Darius Slayton , Gunner Olszewski , Malik Nabers , Darnell Mooney, Ryan Miller , Jalin Hyatt , Isaiah Hodgins , Xavier Gipson , Malachi Fields , Beaux Collins , Dalen Cambre , Calvin Austin III *** Rookies in bold For starters, because they should have some version of their best player, Malik Nabers for more than three-plus games. Even if Nabers isn’t fully back to 2024 form, he will still make some plays and be a weapon defenses need to pay extra attention to. His presence alone should make the group better than it was a year ago. Next, because they have depth. Darnell Mooney and Calvin Austin are legitimate NFL receivers, and Malachi Fields adds youth, size and potential to help the passing and running games. The Giants shouldn’t be stuck playing Jalin Hyatt, or trolling the NFL scrap heap for players like Ray Ray McCloud . Maybe Nabers won’t be healthy, or will just be a shell of the star he was in 2024. Maybe the Giants will miss Wan’Dale Robinson more than we think. Maybe Mooney and Austin aren’t the upgrades we think they are, and Fields turns out to be a big, slow guy who can’t get open and can’t catch. Maybe Darius Slayton has one of those years he is prone to where catching the ball seems optional. Maybe tight end Isaiah Likely , who is expected to often function as a big slot receiver, isn’t up to the task of being more than the secondary target he was with the Baltimore Ravens . SHOULD be better. They should have Malik Nabers for more than three-plus, and they should be deeper than they were a year ago. If Darnell Mooney remotely close to the 1,000-yard season he had playing for Matt Nagy with the Chicago Bears in 2021, that would be massive. You never know what will happen with injuries, but when I look down the depth chart I feel better about what I see than I did a year ago
The Dallas Cowboys will open their 2026 season against the New York Giants. While the Giants feature a young offensive nucleus including Jaxson Dart, Cam Skattebo, and Malik Nabers, Nabers has undergone a second knee procedure this offseason, potentially impacting his availability for the opener and benefiting the Cowboys

Optimism is higher than it has been for a while among the Giants fanbase, with new head coach John Harbaugh ’s arrival heralding a new era with a retooled roster. We now know exactly what lies ahead following Thursday night’s schedule release . It’s a challenging slate, but one Harbaugh will be confident he can navigate. With Jaxson Dart at the helm and young potential stars in Malik Nabers , Abdul Carter , and Arvell Reese giving New York a stable nucleus, the future looks bright for Big Blue. That future may already be here, though, as the Giants will believe they can be competitive now. Is this the year they get back into postseason contention? Here’s a breakdown of what to watch for this season... Week 11: Giants at Indianapolis By this stage of the season, we should know whether the Giants are for real, but they’ll be facing a familiar foe as they look to keep the momentum going. Former Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was playing like an MVP candidate during the first half of last season, but he ended up sidelined by a serious knee injury. Jones might not be healthy in time for the opener, but he should be back in the flow by this stage in the season and will be eager to put one over on his old team. The game is particularly important with two NFC rivals in San Francisco and Seattle coming up in the next two games, so the Giants probably can’t afford to let this one slip. Weeks 16-18: at Detroit , at Dallas, vs. Philadelphia What every Giants fan wants to see is the team battling down the stretch to get into the postseason, but if they can put themselves in that position, they'll have a tall task late. A nationally televised game against the Lions is followed by two divisional clashes, which are sure to be competitive -- even if either opponent is out of contention or resting starters for the playoffs by that point. This could be where Dart comes of age, because these three games figure to be the biggest of his career, and he’ll need to perform at his best. Weeks 3-6: vs. Tennessee , vs. Arizona , at Washington , vs. New Orleans Last season saw the Giants part ways with head coach Brian Daboll , and he’ll be making his return to MetLife Stadium as the new Titans offensive coordinator for a pivotal early-season clash. Adding to the intrigue is the fact that Tennessee signed some key former Giants, including Wan’Dale Robinson , Cor’Dale Flott , and Daniel Bellinger . That matchup kicks off a run of games against four teams that each lost 11 or more games last season. On paper, therefore, the Giants can really get their momentum going during this stretch, especially with three of the games at home. The Saints game in particular could be interesting, as Dart will be facing off against one of the other top quarterbacks from last year’s draft: Tyler Shough . How soon will Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo be back up to speed? The Giants' offense will be getting reinforcements at some point with Nabers and Skattebo each coming back from serious injuries. However, with nationally televised clashes against the Cowboys and Rams to open the season, it would be a blow if either or both of them were still limited to start the year. As things stand, it looks like Skattebo should be back in time for training camp, but Nabers is facing a race against time to be back in time for the opener, having recently undergone a second procedure on his injured knee . The Giants will hope they don’t have to head into these games undermanned, otherwise an 0-2 start could be in the cards. What is the ceiling for the retooled defense? For the second year in a row, the Giants’ defense will lean heavily on the pass rush. However, it will be a different system with a few key personnel changes. Hopefully, this will mean they reach their potential more effectively this time around. With Carter expected to play a more conventional defensive end role and the rookie Reese expected to contribute to the pass rush despite primarily playing off the

It’s here, in all its glory, plus preseason. FRISCO, Texas – The Cowboys’ 2026 regular season schedule has finally been released in full. Dallas will be one of the most traveled teams in the NFL, as they’re set to go across 27,980 miles this season looking to try and improve from their 7-9-1 finish in 2025 in year one under Brian Schottenheimer. For the first time since 2014, the Cowboys will play a regular season game internationally. Dallas will host the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL’s first game in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in Week 3. Additionally for the first time since 2014, the Cowboys will face their NFC East rival Eagles on Thanksgiving. To get started, here are the Cowboys’ preseason opponents with home games in bold: Preseason Week 1: Dallas Cowboys @ Seattle Seahawks Preseason Week 2: Dallas Cowboys @ Arizona Cardinals Preseason Week 3: Dallas Cowboys vs. New Orleans Saints Now that we know the exact schedule, what do you think the Cowboys record will be in 2026? The Dallas Cowboys 2026 schedule is out. Let’s predict each game. Week 1: Cowboys at Giants The Giants will become a good team under John Harbaugh, but they have a ways to go to get there. They need a better roster, and they will need time to digest Harbaugh’s way. They’ll get there but not this quickly. Plus, Malik Nabers could miss the game from injury. Cowboys win: 1-0 record Week 2: Commanders at Cowboys The Cowboys get off to a strong NFC East start by winning two games in a row in the division. The Cowboys offense at home will be too much for the Commanders defense. We’ll also get a second look at how a Christian Parker defense deals with a mobile quarterback. Cowboys win: 2-0 record Week 3: Ravens at Cowboys (Brazil) The Cowboys get another team with a new coach. They played the departed Harbaugh in Week 1. In Week 3, they get his replacement in Jesse Minter. There is plenty of turnover on the coaching staff in Baltimore, but they still have talent on the roster. Both teams are trying to recover from a substandard 2025. It’s a tough call, but Ravens win. Cowboys lose: 2-1 record Week 4: Cowboys at Texans The Texans keep making the playoffs, then fail to make any noise once there. Sounds like another Texas team we know of. The Cowboys did miss the tournament last season while the Texans went 12-5 on the year. Still, we smell a Cowboys road victory coming in this intrastate matchup. Cowboys win: 3-1 record The Cowboys 2026 schedule is jam packed full of prime-time games. We are just hours away from the official release of the 2026 NFL schedule , and fans across the league are being reminded once again why the Dallas Cowboys are America’s Team. Dallas is the most valuable brand in American sports , and the undeniably the biggest brand in the NFL. That’s why, despite missing the postseason in back-to-back years, the Cowboys will once again be in the spotlight as much as any team in the league. According to the flurry of schedule rumors and official announcements by the league , the Cowboys are currently slated to have six standalone games, meaning they will be the only game on at their scheduled time. Out of the standalone games, five are in primetime, and one is on Thanksgiving Day. There are also three remaining dates on the calendar that have no games rumored at this time, so the number could rise when the schedule is officially released. That means we could be seeing the Cowboys in more primetime matchups than any other team in the league in 2026. What are the biggest takeaways from the Cowboys schedule release? Biggest takeaway Sleep science might be the most important phrase to describe the early part of the season, particularly Weeks 3-5, when the Cowboys play three games in 12 days. After a 10-hour flight back from Rio de Janeiro (Ravens), they face the Texans before a quick turnaround for the Thursday nighter against the Buccaneers at AT&T Stadium. After the Cowboys get through that stretch, they face the Packers and Eag

We're now past that most important waypoint on the NFL ’s annual calendar – when we learn how many times and various ways the league can showcase the Dallas Cowboys , the famous/infamous “America’s Team” seemingly half of the country embraces and the other half loathes … because there’s no such thing as middle ground in ‘Merica ’26. But I digress. And the NFL did not disappoint Cowboys -philes on May 14, revealing that Dallas is earmarked for six prime-time games this season – which doesn't even include their yearly Thanksgiving showcase and a high-profile late-afternoon Week 3 game in Rio de Janeiro against the Baltimore Ravens . But let’s put the Cowboys’ national (over?)-exposure aside for a minute. A closer examination of their schedule might just suggest that the country’s most high-profile sports brand – Dallas won five of the first 30 Super Bowls and played on Super Sunday three other times but hasn’t reached the league’s ultimate showcase in the past 30 years – might finally be ready for a breakthrough. Disagree? Let’s do a, ahem, shallow dive into the Cowboys' 2026 schedule and see how many wins we can find for Jerry Jones and Co.: OT Tytus Howard: Traded to Cleveland Browns (previous team: Houston Texans) CB Trent McDuffie: Traded to Los Angeles Rams (previous team: Kansas City Chiefs) RB David Montgomery: Traded to Houston Texans (previous team: Detroit Lions) WR DJ Moore: Traded to Buffalo Bills (previous team: Chicago Bears) OT Tytus Howard: Traded to Cleveland Browns (previous team: Houston Texans) OT Tytus Howard: Traded to Cleveland Browns (previous team: Houston Texans) CB Trent McDuffie: Traded to Los Angeles Rams (previous team: Kansas City Chiefs) RB David Montgomery: Traded to Houston Texans (previous team: Detroit Lions) WR DJ Moore: Traded to Buffalo Bills (previous team: Chicago Bears) John Harbaugh’s first game with a rebooted organization, WR Malik Nabers likely to play limited snaps – best case – and QB Jaxson Dart brazenly leaving the pocket on every third down while facing an entirely reimagined Doomsday D? ▶ Win (1-0) The 2026 home opener at JerryWorld, when QB Dak Prescott torches that Dan Quinn-designed defense he knows so well. Meanwhile, on the other sideline, new Commanders WR Brandon Aiyuk suffers the first of many meltdowns, reminding Washingtonians why the Niners gladly disposed of him in the first place. ▶ Win (2-0) As many sick days as Ravens QB Lamar Jackson uses during the practice week, imagine what a 5,000-mile flight will do to the two-time MVP? OK, on a more serious note, Jackson and his offense might still have the chills in their third week trying to employ new coordinator Declan Doyle’s offense. Meanwhile, Prescott and the offense will be in their third year working with Brian Schottenheimer. Christ the Redeemer deems the Cowboys the victors. ▶ Win (3-0) Admittedly, the tongue is frequently firmly planted in the cheek here. Doesn’t mean we’re not taking this exercise (semi)seriously. And the long trip back from Brazil followed by a short intra-Texas flight to face the league’s best defense from 2025 seems like a good formula for a maiden L. ▶ Loss (3-1) Bucs QB Baker Mayfield may be a native Texan. But playing on the road on a Thursday night is suboptimal in nearly every circumstance, particularly with the added pressure of performing in front of your Lone Star friends. Advantage: Dak. ▶ Win (4-1) After “beating” Micah Parsons ’ Packers 40-40 last season, the Cowboys leverage their mini bye to notch a legit W against their former teammate, whose ACL will likely still be well shy of 100%, and exorcise some demons from their Lambeau Field house of horrors. ▶ Win (5-1) Tempting as it is to project an extended Dallas hot streak, we’re guessing Jalen Hurts will still be a few months shy of making his last stand even as the A.J. Brown-less offense begins to collapse around him. But it's early enough for Jalen Carter and Co. to spit out another win against Big [... truncated ...]
The NFL season does not begin for another 118 days. But we now know not only who’s playing whom, but also when they’re playing and where. We know when to anticipate a faceoff of the Buffalo Bills ’ Josh Allen and the Baltimore Ravens ’ Lamar Jackson (Week 8, Nov. 1). And we know when to check whether the Titans coaching staff can get revenge on not one, but two , New York franchises (hi, Robert Saleh vs. the Jets Week 1 on Sept. 13 and Brian Daboll vs. the Giants Week 3 on Sept. 27). So with the 272 regular-season games now unfurled, who does the schedule most benefit and who does it most threaten? Here are Yahoo Sports’ schedule release winners and losers: Jerry Jones: The Dallas Cowboys lost more games than they won last season. Still, they’re featured on Week 1 "Sunday Night Football" due to their immense popularity. And they get to face a New York Giants team that, albeit upgraded from head coach John Harbaugh down, won just four games last season and will likely take time to round into form under a new staff and with rehabilitation from injury for star receiver Malik Nabers and running back Cam Skattebo . The combination will give Dallas strong odds to open 1-0. And that’s just the first of six Cowboys prime-time games. The Cowboys are still dominating media windows more than 30 years removed from their last Super Bowl appearance. So credit Jerry Jones — and name him a winner — for creating a model of relevance that transcends the win-loss column. Play 2026 Soccer Pick 'Em with FOX One and make your picks for the world's biggest soccer tournament The defending Super Bowl-champion Seattle Seahawks : The Seahawks will carry on the tradition of hosting the first game of this NFL season after winning the last game of the previous one. Their Super Bowl champion banner will be raised, and they’ll not only get prime-time billing but also additional rest before Week 2. And thanks to the NFL’s international schedule staging the Los Angeles Rams-San Francisco 49ers ’ Australia game on Thursday, the Seahawks will actually play on Wednesday , Sept. 9, giving them still another day of rest beyond what the league has seen in recent years. After playing deep into February, any respite helps. The Green Bay-to-Miami transplants: In case you missed it, the Miami Dolphins became Green Bay Packers South this offseason as they overhauled their big three: New general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan spent the 22 prior seasons in Green Bay , head coach Jeff Hafley came straight from the Packers' defensive coordinator seat and quarterback Malik Willis spent his last two years behind Jordan Love in Green Bay. So while Miami teams don’t always like visiting more rugged terrains, expect this leadership group to welcome reunions. On Dec. 20, Sullivan, Hafley and Willis will have a chance to return to Green Bay for a Week 15 matchup. Josh Allen’s redemption chance: The despair on Josh Allen’s face after the Bills lost a 33-30 overtime divisional game in Denver in January lingers. Allen threw two interceptions and lost two fumbles in the game that ultimately snapped Sean McDermott’s head-coaching tenure. The Bills don’t just face the Broncos again — they face them in Denver on Jan. 3. So Allen will have a chance to master the defense that stumped him. Will that ultimately translate to a deeper playoff run? The gap between Allen’s regular-season record vs. the Chiefs (5-1) and his postseason struggles vs. them (0-4) creates room to question. Still, a win would alleviate the sting. The Browns, in the short term: Cleveland hasn’t won its division in the last 30 years. It hasn’t strung together consecutive winning seasons since 1988 and 1989. New head coach Todd Monken, despite quarterback questions and defensive staff changes, will try to fix that. Helping him as he acclimates a young offensive roster: the Browns’ schedule. While strength of schedule does not always translate , given team records the year prior don’t factor in offseason changes, the Bro

The New York Giants' 2026 NFL schedule has been released, featuring an opening week matchup against the Dallas Cowboys and several primetime games. The team, under coach John Harbaugh and with a reimagined defense, faces tough early tests against the Rams and Commanders, and will conclude the season with challenging games against the Lions, Cowboys, and Eagles
The Los Angeles Rams having to give up a home game to travel across the world in Week 1 to face the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne, Australia has been called the worst case scenario for Sean McVay. Given that disadvantage, then perhaps an extra day of rest and a home game against the New York Giants to follow is the “best case scenario” under those circumstances. The Rams are rumored to be hosting the Giants on Monday Night Football in Week 2, which John Breech of CBS Sports called the “best case scenario” because L.A. will have slightly more rest than if they played on Sunday and will be at home against a team that had to fly across the country. And of course, the Giants were one of the worst teams in the NFL last year and for the past decade. The Giants have a new head coach, the highly-respected John Harbaugh, but how much franchise development will he have been able to accomplish in one week? Quarterback Jaxson Dart was better than expected as a rookie in 2025, but has a long ways to go to establish himself as a long-term NFL starter. It is also improbable that star receiver Malik Nabers will be back from a torn ACL at the beginning of the season. The Giants had the 32nd-ranked run defense last season in terms of yards per carry allowed. It could be an ideal setup for Kyren Williams and McVay’s 13-personnel heavy offense. Facing the 49ers in Australia in Week 1 was the last thing that McVay wanted. But without any choice in the matter, then a team that has lost at least 10 games in 10 of the last 12 seasons is the NFL’s way of saying, “We’re sorry”
by Ari Koslow | Giants Correspondent | Thu, May 14th 2:13pm EDT The Giants remain hopeful that Malik Nabers will be ready for Week 1. ( Jordan Raanan on Twitter ) Fantasy Impact: It was reported that Nabers underwent a second surgery on his knee to remove scar tissue that was causing stiffness "multiple weeks ago." He had been hopeful to be able to participate in training camp, but that timeline has been pushed back. Reported back in February that Malik Nabers had a full meniscus repair in addition to the ACL. It's not an easy recovery and he needed a second procedure, as @DDuggan21 said. The Giants are still hopeful he can return Week 1, per source. Still some four months until the opener. https://t.co/LkyLscqyml Category: Injury Updates | More Malik Nabers : News , Rankings , Projections , Stats
The New York Giants WR Malik Nabers underwent a second knee surgery, and the team's 2026 schedule will not include international games. The Giants are considered underdogs in their Week 1 matchup against the Cowboys. The article speculates on the Giants' potential under new coach John Harbaugh and with QB Jaxson Dart, suggesting they could be a surprise team in the NFC East
