Carolina Panthers wide receiver Brycen Tremayne could see a larger role in Week 4 due to injuries at wide receiver. Tremayne is coming off a career game in Week 3, hauling in four of six targets for 83 yards in the 21-18 loss to the Cleveland Browns. With Jalen Coker (quad) exiting early and Xavier Legette (knee) inactive, Tremayne played 79% of snaps and ran 77% of routes in Week 3. With Legette already ruled out and Coker questionable for Sunday night's game against the Detroit Lions, Tremayne could see a workload similar to last week. The Lions' secondary has struggled as well, allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. While his value likely hinges on whether Coker is active, if he is ruled out, Tremayne could be a sneaky FLEX option against a weaker Lions' secondary

Tremayne finished with four receptions for 83 yards on six targets in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Browns. After playing less than 20 percent of the offensive snaps and failing to draw a target in either of the Panthers' first two games, Tremayne took on an expanded profile in the passing attack in Week 3 while Xavier Legette (knee) was inactive and Jalen Coker (quadriceps) made an early exit. Tremayne ended up playing 62 of the team's 77 offensive snaps (81 percent), leading Carolina in receiving with a career-best yardage total. However, if the Panthers get one or both of Coker and Legette back for Week 4 against the Lions, Tremayne is likely to see his playing time drop precipitously
Brycen Tremayne stepped up in the absence of injured WRs Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker, and may be worth considering as a speculative stash in deeper leagues
Brycen Tremayne led the team in receiving with 83 yards on Sunday, and may continue to be involved in the offense if Jalen Coker misses time with an injury
Tremayne inked his exclusive-rights free-agent tender with Carolina on Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. Tremayne will officially return to Carolina for at least another season after being tendered by the club in early March. The 26-year-old was a regular part of the offense for the first time as a pro last year, tallying 14 catches for 160 yards over 262 offensive snaps spanning 16 regular-season games. He also played regularly on special teams and likely will retain the same role as a depth wideout and special-teamer during the upcoming season
