Kimani Vidal rushed the ball eight times for 23 yards and caught two passes for seven yards in Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Vidal ended as the team's leading rusher on Sunday, but that didn't really mean much. He finished with just 23 yards on the ground, and he ran a an inefficient clip of just 2.9 yards per carry over the course of the game. Fantasy managers should not have any real expectations for him moving forward
Kimani Vidal has emerged as part of a three-man backfield committee for the Los Angeles Chargers. While he is second in carries within the group and has scored double-digit fantasy points in two of the last three games, his usage is slightly less than Omarion Hampton's. Vidal is projected as PPR RB45 for Week 8 against a tough Rams defense that has been stingy against running backs, making him a desperation flex play in deeper leagues

Los Angeles Chargers running back Kimani Vidal has seen an expanded role in the backfield as of late. In Week 6, Vidal carried the ball seven times for 21 yards and hauled in three of his four targets for 19 additional yards. Vidal has seen five or more carries in three straight games and three or more targets in three of his last four contests. He appears to be gaining a steady role in the backfield, which could make him an interesting option against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8. There could be some deep league flex value from Vidal for this Week 8 contest
Vidal turned seven carries into 21 yards and caught three of four passes for 19 yards during the Chargers' 22-6 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday. The Chargers' run offense struggled Sunday, but Vidal was slightly more efficient than Omarion Hampton (18 yards) on the same number of carries. Vidal has seen more rotational offensive snaps over the Chargers' last three games, and over that span he has logged 20 carries for 103 yards and a touchdown and six catches (on nine targets) for 29 yards and a score. His role may continue to expand following the Week 7 bye, with the Chargers' next game taking place in Week 8 against the Rams on Sunday, Nov. 1
Kimani Vidal recorded 21 rushing yards in Week 6

Los Angeles Chargers running back Kimani Vidal has seen his role grow over the last two weeks. Vidal has seen the same or a higher snap percentage than Omarion Hampton during this stretch. As a result, Vidal has scored 10-plus points and finished inside the top 26 fantasy running backs in back-to-back weeks. The 25-year-old has forced the Chargers into a three-man running back committee, capping the ceiling for all the backs as reliable fantasy options. Vidal enters Week 6 as RotoBaller's PPR RB41 in a tough matchup against division rival Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs defense has allowed the third-fewest rushing touchdowns and the sixth-fewest yards per carry this season. Additionally, the Chiefs are coming off their bye week, giving them a week of rest and extra time to game plan for a struggling Chargers offense. Vidal might lead the Chargers' backfield in Week 6, but he shouldn't be in fantasy lineups

Kimani Vidal broke numerous tackles and ripped off the Chargers’ longest run of the year against the Broncos
Fred Zinkie takes you through his rankings of the top backup RBs going into Week 6 for fantasy football
After a Week 4 touchdown reception against the Seahawks, Los Angeles Chargers running back Kimani Vidal recorded his first score on the ground in a Week 5 loss to the Broncos, and he has legitimate stash appeal on this week's waiver wire. For the second week in a row, the Chargers deployed a near-even three-way split between Vidal, Omarion Hampton, and Keaton Mitchell, with Vidal actually leading the group with 28 offensive snaps. His 42-yard touchdown run helped him to finish with 57 rushing yards and a 7.1-yard-per-carry average on his eight attempts. While he still isn't seeing enough work to be a reliable weekly start, Vidal has been the team's most efficient runner on a limited sample size, racking up yards after contact. With Hampton disappointing through five weeks, and Vidal possessing multiple potential paths to an expanded workload, he's become a player worthy of an end-of-bench stash in deeper leagues
Despite modest results in a Week 5 loss to the Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers running back Keaton Mitchell remains heavily involved in what has been arguably the league's most disappointing offense, pointing to potentially brighter days ahead. For the second week in a row, the Chargers leaned on a three-way backfield split, with Mitchell, Omarion Hampton, and Kimani Vidal all seeing the field for at least 20 snaps, and each seeing at least nine opportunities. Vidal, while still the least utilized, has been the team's most efficient runner, but Mitchell remains the designated passing back, with his 14 targets through five weeks more than doubling the combined total of the other two. While the current split makes none of the Chargers' backs a reliable weekly start, Mitchell's big-play ability, coupled with multiple paths to an expanded workload, makes him a must-roster player and a waiver stash to target wherever he's still available
Keaton Mitchell had 9 touches for 29 total yards (11 rushing, 18 receiving) in Week 5. He continues to share the backfield with Omarion Hampton and Kimani Vidal, but has shown big-play ability and receives ample opportunities
Kimani Vidal's fantasy value is capped due to shared backfield work
