James Robinson gets a tryout with Raiders

Six years after running back James Robinson rushed for 1,070 yards as a rookie in 2020 with the Jaguars, he’s looking for a path back to the NFL. Robinson had a tryout on Saturday with the Raiders. He played most recently for the Louisville Kings of the UFL, rushing for 324 yards in six regular-season games and adding 128 in two postseason games for the eventual league champions. Robinson was traded to the Jets during his third season, to the Jets. He spent 2023 with the Packers, appearing in only one game and having just one carry. He did not play in the NFL in 2024 or 2025. For his NFL career, Robinson has rushed for 2,264 yards. (So far.) Also trying out on Saturday were running backs Dare Ogunbawale and Kenny McIntosh. Ogunbawale, a nine-year veteran, spent the last four seasons in Houston. His tenure including kicking a 29-yard field goal in a 2023 win over Tampa Bay, 39-37, after Texans kicker Ka’imi Fairbarn suffered a quad injury. McIntosh, a seventh-round pick of the Seahawks in 2024, was released on July 27

The Seahawks plan to waive running back Kenny McIntosh, Brady Henderson of ESPN reports. McIntosh currently is on the active/physically unable to perform list. He tore the ACL in his left knee during a training camp practice 366 days ago. The Seahawks made McIntosh a seventh-round pick in 2023, and he injured his knee in his first training camp. He played only 13 special teams snaps in three games as a rookie. In 2024, McIntosh appeared in every game, playing 75 offensive snaps and 173 on special teams. He rushed for 172 yards on 31 carries and caught three passes for 22 yards, while returning six kickoffs for 153 yards. As expected, Seahawks place Zach Charbonnet on PUP list
Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet may be “progressing well ” following his ACL tear in the NFC Divisional Round against the San Francisco 49ers, but it was always a formality that he would begin training camp on the injured list. On Wednesday, the Seahawks placed Charbonnet on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list . While anyone can be activated off PUP at any time during training camp and preseason, Charbonnet’s placement was a formality given the severity of his injury. While Nick Emmanwori’s PUP placement figures to be short-term and is not expected to have any impact on his regular season availability, Charbonnet is almost a certainty to remain on the PUP list past preseason. If that’s the case, then Charbonnet will have to miss at least the first four games, but new PUP rules allow players to have a 21-day window for practice starting in Week 3, as opposed to after the fourth regular season game. Without getting too far ahead of ourselves, it’s possible that Charbonnet could be available as early as Week 5 versus the Los Angeles Chargers . Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet tore his ACL in the divisional round of the playoffs and the team confirmed that he’s not ready to resume practicing on Wednesday. Charbonnet has been placed on the physically unable to perform list ahead of the start of training camp. Charbonnet can be activated from the list at any point in camp, but the timing of the injury means that it will likely be some time before the team will be moving him to the active roster. The Seahawks previously placed safety Nick Emmanwori, running back Kenny McIntosh, cornerback Tyrone Broden, and defensive tackle Deven Eastern on the PUP list. One of Seattle’s key defensive players is not yet ready to practice at training camp. The Seahawks announced on Monday that safety Nick Emmanwori has been placed on the physically unable to perform list. It’s currently unclear what landed Emmanwori on the PUP list, as he was a participant during the club’s offseason program. But at this time of year, Emmanwori can come off the list to practice at any time. One of the league’s best defensive rookies last year, Emmanwori tallied 81 total tackles with nine tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 11 passes defensed, and an interception in 14 regular-season games in 2025. He added 13 total tackles with four passes defensed and a fumble recovery in Seattle’s three postseason games, helping the club win Super Bowl LX. Additionally, the Seahawks placed running back Kenny McIntosh and cornerback Tyrone Broden on the PUP list, with both players continuing to recover from injuries suffered during the 2025 season. McIntosh (knee) is not participating in Seattle's OTAs but is hopeful to return in time for training camp, Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times reports. McIntosh missed all of the Seahawks' 2025 campaign due to a torn ACL suffered during training camp, but the hope is for him to return in late July. The Georgia product appeared in all 17 of Seattle's regular-season games in 2024, rushing 31 times for 172 yards and catching three of his four targets for 22 yards.
