Giants beat Texans 27-21 in overtime
Cam Skattebo had no touches last week. He had 18 touches, 124 rushing yards, a touchdown and the longest run of his career set up the Giants for the overtime win. Skattebo went 42 yards to the Houston 30 on the Giants’ second snap of overtime before former Texan Devin Singletary ran the rest of the way to the end zone on the next play. It handed the Giants a 27-21 victory with only 2:35 gone in OT. The Giants won in J.J. McCarthy’s first start with the team and moved to 4-2-1, while the Texans’ postseason hopes are likely gone with a 2-5 record. McCarthy’s second career game-winning drive came after the Texans went three-and-out to start overtime. Giants edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux dropped an interception in his hands on the Texans’ side of the 50 on the second play in overtime. The Texans tied the game with 52 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter when Xavier Hutchinson caught a 3-yard touchdown on third down. They didn’t carry the momentum with them into overtime, though. The Giants had 34 carries for 188 yards and McCarthy went 20-for-28 for 252 yards. Malik Nabers caught seven passes for 111 yards. Singletary had five carries for 41 yards and the game-winning touchdown, and Tyrone Tracy six carries for 15 yards and a touchdown before a hamstring injury. Jameis Winston scored on a 1-yard quarterback sneak. The Giants outgained the Texans 420 to 237, but kicker Dominic Zvada missed field goals of 44 and 56 yards in the first half. C.J. Stroud was 17-of-28 for 153 yards and two touchdowns. Tank Dell, playing his first game since December 2024, caught a 43-yard pass and had a 14-yard punt return. Woody Marks had 19 carries for 66 yards. Ka’imi Fairbairn kicked first-half field goals of 57 and 58 yards

Hutchinson caught two of three passes for 10 yards and returned two kickoffs for 52 yards during the Texans' 34-31 win over the Jaguars on Sunday in London. Hutchinson's 34 offensive snaps were more than what he logged in each of the Texans' three games prior to Week 6, although he logged season lows in catches, receiving yards and targets. He was used as a kick returner for the first time since Week 18 of the 2024 season. Xavier Hutchinson Not a Strong Option in Reduced Role
Houston Texans wide receiver Xavier Hutchinson was in a much smaller role in Week 4 with the return of Nico Collins after a hamstring injury. Hutchinson only played 17 snaps (31%) against the Cowboys after playing over 50% of snaps in each of the previous three games this season. Even with fewer plays on the field, though, he caught three passes for the fourth straight week. He ended up with 46 yards and finished second on the team with five targets despite his reduced playing time. With Kayshon Boutte struggling and Tank Dell (knee) still not ready to return, there is still a window for Hutchinson to seize the second receiver spot in Houston, but he'll need a big game against the Titans this week. Since his playing time was so significantly slashed last week, though, it's very hard to trust him this week, even in a favorable matchup against the Titans. Hutchinson is the WR80 in RotoBaller's rankings for Week 5, so he can be left on the bench or the waiver wire in almost all formats
