Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (knee) is active for Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the New York Giants, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, but he's a deeper-league stash, not a safe starter. Dell will make his first regular-season appearance since December 21, 2024, when he suffered a serious knee injury against the Kansas City Chiefs. Houston activated the 26-year-old on Saturday and removed his questionable designation after he practiced in full throughout Week 7. Head coach DeMeco Ryans has tempered expectations for Dell's return, and the Texans already have considerable competition for targets with Nico Collins, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Jaylin Noel. Given his lengthy absence and uncertain initial workload, Dell is a risky Week 7 starter
Adds: Jaylin Noel
Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (knee) practiced in full on Wednesday, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Sports. Head coach DeMeco Ryans said on Monday that Dell was on track to make his season debut in Week 7 against the New York Giants, and his return to a full practice on Wednesday supports that report. The 26-year-old will return to a much more crowded WR picture in Houston now that second-year pass-catcher Jaylin Noel is emerging. The Texans also went out and acquired struggling former first-rounder Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals, and they have plans to get him more involved than he was in his time with the Cardinals. Dell, a former third-rounder in 2023 from Houston, is still an interesting waiver-wire target now that he is on the verge of a return in 2026. He missed all of last year after tearing multiple ligaments in his left knee in 2024. Before his injury, Dell was a big-play threat downfield and caught 98 of 156 targets for 1,376 yards and 10 touchdowns in his 25 games played (18 starts) in two seasons. If he makes his season debut against the G-Men this weekend, fantasy managers who have Dell stashed should not be looking to start him immediately
Tank Dell is slated to make his 2026 season debut for the Houston Texans against the New York Giants on Sunday, according to head coach DeMeco Ryans. Dell has been sidelined since suffering a severe knee injury in December 2024. His return will add competition for targets, especially with Marvin Harrison Jr. on the roster and Jaylin Noel's recent performance
Jaguars running back Bhayshul Tuten has reached the end zone three times today, but only two of his touchdowns counted. Texans tight end Foster Moreau also has two touchdowns today, and a Texans field goal on top of it gives Houston a 17-14 lead at halftime. A Tuten touchdown run was overturned on a bad holding call early in the game, a major error by the official that was particularly costly when the Jaguars came away with no points after a Trevor Lawrence interception on the same possession. But in the second quarter, Tuten left no doubt when he caught two short Trevor Lawrence passes and scored on both of them. On the first, he winded his way through the Texans’ defense for a 27-yard touchdown. The second was easy, as the Texans left him open on second-and-goal for a two-yard touchdown. The Texans’ passing game is also making plays. Texans wide receiver Jaylin Noel has two catches, one for 50 yards and one for 34 yards. Texans wide receiver Nico Collins burned Travis Hunter for a 42-yard gain, and later drew a pass interference penalty on Hunter in the end zone to give the Texans first-and-goal at the 1-yard line. Texans wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. made his first catch as a Texan, a 14-yarder over the middle in the second quarter. But while the wide receivers are getting the big plays, it’s the tight end, Moreau, who is getting into the end zone. He has two touchdown catches, one from six yards out and one from one yard out. The Texans have a couple of big injury concerns on defense, as linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair is being evaluated for a concussion, and safety Reed Blankenship was carted to the locker room late in the second quarter. It’s been a tight, back-and-forth game with major implications for the AFC South
Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud had a strong day in London, leading the team to a 34-31 Week 6 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Stroud completed 24 out of 34 passes (70.6%) for 312 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Stroud added one rushing attempt for five yards. While Stroud threw an interception in the end zone to Jaguars cornerback Travis Hunter with under four minutes to play, it did not end up costing the Texans the game, and Stroud carved up the Jacksonville defense throughout the day. He connected on a touchdown pass with wide receiver Jaylin Noel and found tight end Foster Moreau for two scores. Stroud is playing well and has an ideal matchup against the New York Giants in Week 7. He should be started in all formats
The Texans got their first victory of the season on Sunday, beating the moribund Titans, 26-3. After the contest, receiver Nico Collins talked up his quarterback, C.J. Stroud, who has been putting up solid performances — despite Houston’s current 1-4 record. “That dude is hooping,” Collins said, via transcript from the team. “Everything that is happening right now is the work you put in throughout the week. Coming in leading, as he always does. “We always got his back a thousand percent of the way and it’s only right to continue to keep going, continue to be us, and continue to be 1-0.” Stroud’s first touchdown of the day came on the ground, as he ran it in from 2 yards out midway through the third quarter. “That man got a little speed on him,” Collins said. “He got in that thing, and I am proud of him. I am happy to see him touch paint, run his feet. He lowered his shoulder, it’s football.” Stroud later fired a 9-yard touchdown to Jaylin Noel. He ended the day 26-of-34 passing for 261 yards with a TD. In five games this season, he’s completed 64.3 percent of his throws for 1,402 yards with six touchdowns and no picks

Daniel Jones fumbled on the Colts’ first drive, but he directed scoring drives on the next three. The Colts lead the Texans 13-7 at halftime. Keenan Allen caught his first touchdown pass with the team, a 6-yard throw from Daniel Jones. Spencer Shrader, who was questionable to play after injuring his groin in pregame warmups, has kicked field goals of 39 and 58 yards as well as an extra point. The Colts have 159 yards, with Jonathan Taylor running for only 19 yards on nine carries. Jones is 14-of-22 for 123 yards, and Josh Downs has four catches for 72 yards in taking up the slack for the injured Alec Pierce. The Texans couldn’t convert on fourth down from the Colts 31 after recovering Jones’ fumble and punted on three other drives. Their touchdown drive covered 68 yards in 12 plays with Fabian Moreau catching a 1-yard touchdown pass from C.J. Stroud. Houston has 67 yards and is 3-for-7 on third down. Stroud is 6-of-11 for 40 yards and a touchdown, with Jaylin Noel catching two for 17. David Montgomery has only 23 yards on eight carries
Nico Collins absent from practice, likely to miss game this weekend
Jaylin Noel is developing a stronger connection with Texans QB C.J. Stroud, who praised Noel's quickness and speed. With Nico Collins injured and Jayden Higgins also out, Noel has an opportunity to increase his role and targets, especially against the Colts in Week 3. Despite a limited output so far, Stroud's praise suggests potential for Noel to step up as a pass-catcher for the Texans
