Matthew Golden (shoulder/foot) trending towards playing on Thursday Night Football
Earlier this week, Packers quarterback Jordan Love told reporters he would be available to play on Sunday, despite being listed as limited on Wednesday with a back issue. Now that has become official. Love has no injury designation on Green Bay’s final practice report of the week and is set to play against Detroit. Receivers Christian Watson (ankle), Savion Williams (ankle), and Matthew Golden (shoulder) are also off the injury report and are all set to play, despite being listed as limited all week. Guard Aaron Banks (knee/toe), receiver Bo Melton (back), cornerback Benjamin St-Juste (hamstring), and defensive tackle Jordan Riley (Achilles) are all questionable. Defensive tackle Anthony Campbell (ankle), cornerback Brandon Cisse (shoulder/neck), and edge rusher Lukas Van Ness (illness) are also off the injury report and are set to play. Head coach Matt LaFleur noted earlier on Friday that linebacker Zaire Franklin (shin) is out after suffering an injury on Thursday

Jordan Love upgraded to full participation, still expected to play Sunday
The Packers listed Melton as a cornerback last season, but he never logged a defensive snap and instead played his typical sparse WR role, with most of his action occurring on special teams. As he heads into his age-27 season having re-signed on a one-year deal with Green Bay, Melton's versatility will help his odds to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. Even with Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks moving on, though, Melton lacks a path to securing more than reserve reps on offense
Jayden Reed to miss rest of season with neck injury
The Packers' offensive line depth is being tested as OG Aaron Banks missed practice with a toe injury and OT Anthony Belton was limited with an elbow injury. WR Jayden Reed also remained out with a neck injury
Wide receiver Bo Melton is back on the 53-man roster in Green Bay. Melton was released late last week and re-signed to the practice squad ahead of Sunday’s loss to the Vikings. He was elevated to play in the game and saw action on both offense and special teams. Melton caught one pass for 10 yards and returned four kickoffs over the course of the afternoon. That was his 39th appearance with the Packers since joining the team in December 2022. The Packers also announced that they have released long snapper Scott Daly from the practice squad. Daly did not take part in Sunday’s loss
No surprise: Bo Melton is back after a one-week stay on the practice squad

The Green Bay Packers have elevated two players from their practice squad for Week 1 against the Vikings
Wide receiver Bo Melton lost his spot on the Packers’ 53-man roster this week, but he’ll be available for Sunday’s game against the Vikings. Melton re-signed to the Packers’ practice squad after being released late in the week and the Packers announced that he has been elevated on a temporary basis for Week 1. Melton has appeared in 38 games for the Packers the last three seasons. He has 28 catches for 416 yards and two touchdowns in that action. The Packers have also elevated linebacker Kristian Welch. He played in eight games and recorded three tackles last season

The Packers have added a wide receiver to the roster for the second time in as many days. They announced that they have claimed Chris Hilton off of waivers. They signed Kisean Johnson as a free agent on Sunday. Hilton signed with the Commanders after going undrafted this year and was waived over the weekend. He spent the last five years at LSU and had 41 catches for 780 yards during his time in Baton Rouge. Hilton and Johnson join Christian Watson, Matthew Golden, Jayden Reed, Savion Williams, Skyy Moore, Bo Melton, Will Sheppard, Isaiah Neyor, Kaden Prather, and J. Michael Sturdivant on the receiver depth chart in Green Bay
