Nate Tice is joined by Bill Barnwell & Gregg Rosenthal to draft the top 18 NFL quarterbacks heading into the 2026 season. The trio snake draft their way through the QBs they’d want at the helm for 2026, as Bill takes Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen first overall and the three hosts debate their more contentious top picks ( Lamar Jackson at two? Drake Maye top three? How far does Patrick Mahomes deserve to fall?) Next, Nate, Bill and Gregg cover the latter half of the top ten, including where quarterbacks like Jordan Love , Dak Prescott , Trevor Lawrence and Brock Purdy stack up, before rounding out the top 18 with conversations on Jared Goff , Caleb Williams , C.J. Aaron Rodgers signed a one-year contract to return to the Pittsburgh Steelers for his 22nd NFL season. Rodgers' new offensive coordinator, Brian Angelichio, is thrilled to have Rodgers at his disposal and noted it was "unbelievable" to have him in the building for Pittsburgh's OTAs, which began May 18. "Aaron's such a great mentor … His feedback and the information he provides, you can’t beat that," Angelichio told reporters May 19, per ESPN's Brooke Pryor . "He is very willing to help the players … I think that certainly is a big plus for us." Angelichio has familiarity with Rodgers. The duo overlapped for three seasons with the Green Bay Packers from 2016-18, when Angelichio served as the tight ends coach on Mike McCarthy's staff. As such, Angelichio knows a thing or two about how Rodgers operates. And the 53-year-old coordinator remains confident in the 42-year-old quarterback's skill set as he prepares for his 22nd NFL season. "Aaron's played at an elite level for all his career," Angelichio told reporters . "Really, his arm, his arm talent, the throws he makes, those are things he's done since he's been in this league. It truly amazes me. It's remarkable the way the guy throws the football." The four-time NFL MVP is set to turn 43 in December and had initially hinted his 2025 season might be his last. That's why the first-time offensive coordinator is glad to also have Mason Rudolph , Will Howard and rookie third-round pick Drew Allar in the fold. "I think you can never have enough quarterbacks," Angelichio said, per ESPN's Brooke Pryor . "With the system that's in place here, I think it's great that we have four quarterbacks ... and we have a good plan of how we're going to get those guys reps." Regardless of how that plan comes to fruition, Rodgers can be expected to get the bulk of the first-team reps as he prepares to make his 19th consecutive Week 1 start. After much debate, quarterback Aaron Rodgers re-signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers on a one-year contract on May 18. The move came after much speculation about what the 42-year-old quarterback who previously played for the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets would do as one of the NFL's oldest players . Here's a breakdown of Rodgers' new Steelers contract and career. Rodgers signed a one-year contract with the Steelers on May 18, according to a release from the team. His 2025 contract with the team was also good for one year. According to USA TODAY , reports from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter and others placed the total value of Rodgers' contract at $25 million. The quarterback's contract comes with a base salary of just over $15 million, according to Spotrac , and is worth up to $25 million with incentives. Last year, his contract was worth $13 million. Aaron Rodgers is officially back in the building. The four-time NFL MVP signed his name on the dotted line on May 18 , marking his return to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a 22nd season in the league. It will be his second in Pittsburgh, and his teammates are preparing for another run with the future Hall of Fame quarterback. Rodgers joined the team for organized team activities (OTAs) after signing the deal, sparking reaction from some of his teammates – new and old. "It can only be good," Chris Boswell said of Rodgers' impact on the team . "Having a guy like that in the building can only help you. I don't think it'll ever hurt you. For him to come back early right now and be around the guys, you know obviously one of his previous coaches, it's only positive for sure." Boswell did say he was surprised to see Rodgers, adding he had no insight about the quarterback's return to the practice field. That wasn't unique to just Boswell either. Michael Pittman Jr. , who was acquired via trade from the Indianapolis Colts in March , also had no inside information from Rodgers. "He never told me anything," Pittman said of when he found out about the Rodgers' signing. "I learned from Twitter before he told me." The Green Bay Packers’ summer roster is mostly set, as the team has just one open roster spot available at the time of this article. I took the time to go position-by-position through the Packers’ roster and pin down what the biggest question I have for each position group going into camp, the things I’ll be keeping an eye on when real practices begin. As a reminder, OTAs start next week (voluntary workouts started pre-draft, and there haven’t been any reported holdouts) and minicamp will kick off on June 9th. Jordan Love is locked into the starting job for the foreseeable future, so the quarterback drama in Green Bay is going to have to come at the backup position. Tyrod Taylor , a 36-year-old with 62 NFL starts under his belt, is certainly more veteran than Kyle McCord , a 2025 draft pick who spent last season on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad. With that being said, though, Taylor only received $700,000 in guarantees in his contract , less than kicker Brandon McManus — who was released from Green Bay post-draft — made from the Packers this offseason. Taylor’s contract doesn’t really lock him into a roster spot, even if he has an inside track for the job. The Green Bay Packers chose to bring back blocking back Chris Brooks over ball-carrier Emanuel Wilson this offseason, which will give MarShawn Lloyd the opportunity to be the number two ball-carrier in Green Bay behind Josh Jacobs in 2026. Here’s the problem: The 2024 third-round pick has only played in one game over two seasons due to a brutal stretch of injuries. Obviously, with that track record, the question is whether Lloyd can stay on the field or not. If he can’t, it opens the door for a roster spot for Pierre Strong Jr., Damien Martinez or undrafted rookie Jaden Nixon. With Jayden Reed under contract for years to come and the Christian Watson extension likely coming, the Packers’ receiver room will revolve around the trio of Watson, Reed and 2024 first-round pick Matthew Golden moving forward. Here’s the thing, though: We haven’t really seen them play together. Last season, in part because of injuries to both Watson and Reed, these receivers were only on the field together for all of 14 snaps, according to the NFL’s Next Gen Stats. Here’s the good news: On those 14 plays, the Packers averaged 11.4 yards per play. They were mostly on the field together for obvious pass situations, as the team threw 12 times out of those 14 snaps. Reed, famously, has been a slot-only receiver for the Packers. Still, Green Bay likes to move Watson inside in obvious passing situations, too, to get better matchups. On top of that, Golden didn’t play a ton of true outside receiver snaps last year, as he was often motioned from inside out or outside in, rarely stagnant whenever he wasn’t playing a true slot role — which he did frequently when Reed was injured. What does a Watson, Reed and Golden offense look like? We have no idea. We have about a quarter of a game of plays to go off of from 2025. Tucker Kraft should be back on the field by the start of training camp, and he’s not a liability blocker, so that helps Green Bay in the in-line tight end department. With that being said, neither Luke Musgrave nor Josh Whyle , the other returning tight ends from the Packers’ 53-man roster, is a plus blocker. Musgrave has been used in-line for most of his Green Bay career, with below-average results as a blocker, while Whyle has been used as more of a “move” tight end in obvious passing situations. After the draft, general manager Brian Gutekunst admitted the team wanted to hit the in-line tight end market, but that value didn’t present itself (not surprising considering the crazy run at the position on Day 2). Still, Green Bay, with its run-first offense, will need a better answer than Musgrave or Whyle as in-line blockers if Kraft ever does go down. Look for the team to continue to bring in bodies throughout the summer. With Sean Rhyan receiving a new contract and Aaron Banks [... truncated ...]
This offseason, there was less speculation about Matthew Stafford’s future and retirement timeline than in previous years, and that could become more of a trend than an outlier despite him being the second-oldest expected starter in the NFL at age 38. Rams fans could be looking forward to at least four more years of Stafford being the oldest starting quarterback in the league. The reasons for him playing until he’s 40 and beyond are growing faster than the grey hairs in his beard. Retirement is a personal decision and could have nothing to do with an ability to play football or make money. Aaron Donald recently emphasized that he always planned to retire after eight seasons and was only enticed to return for two more years because of the Super Bowl. Stafford may want to retire if he wins a second Super Bowl. Or he might want to retire if L.A. does not win the Super Bowl this year. Only he knows the answer. But if he wants to play five more years, it’s hard to believe he lacks the ability to do it.. NFL teams drafted Bryce Young and Cam Ward with the first overall pick in 2023 and 2025 respectively, under the assumption that those quarterbacks would soon become the faces of the NFL. Well, Young and Ward combined to throw 38 touchdown passes in 2025, which is nine fewer than Stafford’s 46 touchdowns en route to winning MVP and also leading the league in passing yards. Ward was only a rookie last year and was not surrounded by much talent. Young is a limited passer who has not proven he can lead a high volume offense, but did take the Panthers to the playoffs at age 24. However, these aren’t outliers. These are examples of a frightening trend of incoming first round quarterbacks proving to be worse than expectations: *benched or in a QB competition in 2026 2019 draft: Kyler Murray*, Daniel Jones 2020 draft: Joe Burrow , Tua Tagovailoa*, Justin Herbert , Jordan Love 2021 draft: Trevor Lawrence , Zach Wilson*, Trey Lance*, Justin Fields*, Mac Jones * 2022 draft: Kenny Pickett * 2023 draft: Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud , Anthony Richardson* 2024 draft: Caleb Williams , Jayden Daniels , Drake Maye , Michael Penix , JJ McCarthy*, Bo Nix 2025 draft: Cam Ward, Jaxson Dart Even in that group of 23 quarterbacks, of the 14 expected starters in Week 1, at least half have a lot to prove before they’re expected to be starters in 2027 and 2028. We saw the lack of belief the league has in young starters late last season when the Indianapolis Colts favored 44-year-old Philip Rivers over any other options that could have been available. His historically-bad athletic limitations were outweighed by the Colts belief in his football IQ and experience. Matthew Stafford is six years younger than Rivers was last season. It’s not that a team would want a 44-year-old quarterback with a weak arm, but this could imply that a 41 or 42-year-old Stafford is far better than the average 25-year-old quarterback. Four of the top-five quarterbacks in passing yards last season were 28 and older: Sam Darnold was the second-youngest at 28 Jared Goff was 31 Dak Prescott was 32 Stafford was 37 Maye was the only outlier and he was a hair from winning MVP. But he was not within a hair of Stafford’s actual value. No offense to Maye and he could be on a trajectory to be unbelievably good next season or 2027, but he was abysmally bad in the playoffs in spite of the Patriots reaching the Super Bowl. Maye was overrated last season and similar to Stroud in 2023, his season-long stats were considerably uplifted by having two or three dominant performances against the worst teams in the league. Maye had 5 touchdowns against the Jets, two more scores than he had in any other game. The NFL’s hope for quarterbacks like Caleb Williams and Maye “proving” that they are about to take over the league because of the seasons and playoff runs they had in 2025 will have to go a lot better than Jayden Daniels’ second season or Stroud’s second season, or they risk becoming [... truncated ...]
This article analyzes the NFL's worst quarterback rooms entering the 2026 season, providing Week 1 starting predictions. It highlights players like Daniel Jones, Anthony Richardson, Riley Leonard, and Seth Henigan as examples of teams with potentially weaker QB situations, contrasting them with top-tier talent like Patrick Mahomes and Drake Maye
Love was limited to 15 games for the second consecutive year in 2025 and had a campaign similar to 2024, though he finished two spots higher in fantasy at QB15. If Love is to return to the QB5 ranking he posted in 2023, he needs more pass attempts and more rushing production. Love had five fewer pass attempts per game last year compared to his career-best season and with the two missed games his attempts dropped by 140. His rushing hasn't been up to the task either as he didn't score on the ground last season (four in 2023). The Packers were top 5 in rushing percentage each of the last two years, though coach Matt LaFleur hinted at a revamped offensive gameplan this offseason. Perhaps that means more for Love. Good health would help too as wide receivers Jayden Reed and Christian Watson missed a combined 17 games and tight end Tucker Kraft tore an ACL in November. The Packers also return last year's first-round pick WR Matthew Golden, who likely will have a bigger role this season after Romeo Doubs left in free agency. The offensive line struggled with injuries and linemen playing out of position last year, which hurt RB Josh Jacobs and made the offense inefficient. But the Packers didn't make major moves, hoping experience and a return to left tackle by 2024 first-round pick Jordan Morgan will do the trick. Love is a good downfield thrower -- he ranked second in 20-plus yards attempts, completing 40.4 percent (9th) -- finishing eighth with a 7.7 YPA. That gives him upside should he get more attempts. Otherwise, he's a reliable QB2 option
Many thought Aaron Rodgers would be one-and-done with the Pittsburgh Steelers . Instead, the two parties are running it back one more time. The Steelers are signing Rodgers to a one-year deal for the 2026 NFL season, according to multiple reports. The 42-year-old quarterback's contract will be worth up to $25 million. Rodgers enjoyed a solid first year in Pittsburgh, helping lead the Steelers to an AFC North title and a winning record for a seventh consecutive season. Now, Rodgers will return to the Steelers in the hopes of leading the franchise to its first playoff win since the 2016 NFL postseason. And he will do so in the company of Mike McCarthy, who is replacing Mike Tomlin and coached Rodgers for 14 of his 18 years with the Green Bay Packers . What can Steelers fans expect from Rodgers in his 22nd NFL season? Here's a look back at how he performed in 2025, along with the notable changes Pittsburgh has made to its offense for the upcoming season. All offseason, the focus has been on what is missing on the Chicago Bears’ defensive line. How we lack impact. How we lack depth. How championship teams are built with elite DLs. So on and so on. I get it — I also have thought for the last several months that the Bears should and would improve their DL. Yet, here we are in May, and the biggest additions to the DL this offseason have been Neville Gallimore , Jordan van den Berg, and 20 lbs of muscle on Austin Booker . However, yesterday, over my lunch break, I decided to watch a condensed version of the Bears-Rams playoff game — the first time I have watched it since the broadcast. Something really stuck out to me with how Dennis Allen stymied the high-powered Rams offense; he was bringing pressure from all over the place. In fact, look at the trends of Dennis Allen blitzing in 2025: In weeks 1-8, Dennis Allen brought blitzes on 15.8% of snaps. In weeks 9-17, Dennis Allen brought blitzes on 20.1% of snaps. In losses, Dennis Allen brought blitzes on 13.9% of snaps. In wins, Dennis Allen brought blitzes on 20.5% of snaps. In other words, Allen learned as the season progressed that this defense is built for blitzing, and he was successful when doing it. Now, there could be an argument for the fact that it’s easier to blitz bad quarterbacks (ask Shadeur Sanders), but I think the trend is suggesting that Dennis Allen is getting a little blitzier . Let’s look at the two playoff games last season, against two quarterbacks who are no slouches in Jordan Love and Matthew Stafford . Against the Packers , Dennis Allen brought 28 blitzes on 71 snaps, a rate of 39%. Against the Rams, Allen brought 29 blitzes on 78 snaps for a similarly high rate of 37%. In each of these instances, the Bears held two strong offenses in check. This tells me that Allen’s scheme might be evolving. Many of us may interpret the increase in blitzing as a result of an underperforming DL, but the Bears’ 2026 offseason tells me otherwise. It would appear that Allen is doing the defensive equivalent of what Ben Johnson is doing on the offensive side of the ball — find athletes that can line up anywhere and do anything. The advent of the 12 and 13 personnel sets is an evolution in having flexible athletes on the field. Players can block, pass, catch, and get down the field. The addition of another athlete in Sam Roush only emboldens this vision — proof that Ben Johnson wants players that are strong, fast, and athletic. Meanwhile, we see hybrid-type players starting to become trendy. Players like Kyle Hamilton , Nick Emmanwori , and even Fred Warner are all unconventional in their size and skillsets – chess pieces that can be lined up in coverage, on the edge, or at the line against the run. Which brings me back to the playoff game against the Rams. Jaquan Brisker had a day against Los Angeles with 14 tackles, 2 PDs, and a sack. He was all over the field — and seemingly finally unlocked in Dennis Allen’s evolution. The Bears have added at least three new faces to the back seven that can play similar hybrid roles in Coby Bryant , Dillon Thieneman, and Devin Bush . Each guy is physical, fast, and versatile. Add them to a roster that already has a player like Kyler Gordon , and Allen’s defense suddenly has immense versatility in how he can deploy these players. I expect him to create a lot of confusion at the line of scrimmage that will lead to a lot of sacks and turnovers. Sure, the DL still doesn’t feel like a complete unit — I agree. But I think we have been looking at this wrong all offseason. Dennis Allen wants speed. He wants athletes. He wants confusion, and the more I think about it, the more I think that this defense is going to take a big step in 2026

After an impressive 6-2 start, Baker Mayfield ’s club finished the year 8-9 following a rough and tumble 2-7 stretch to close the campaign and barely miss the postseason even though they still beat their NFC South rival and eventual playoff team Carolina Panthers in Week 18. Midway through the painful collapse, head coach Todd Bowles told the team “It’s inexcusable…it was in-f—ing-excusable, and there’s no f—ing answer for it. No excuse for it. That’s what you tell them in the locker room. Look in the f—ing mirror.” Tough words and hopefully the last time Bowles will have to utter them. Now that the 2026 NFL schedule has officially dropped, we know who the Bucs will face (and when) this year on their road to redemption. Notable opponents set to visit them at their home Raymond James Stadium come fall include Kyler Murray ’s Minnesota Vikings (Sept. 27), Jordan Love ’s Green Bay Packers (Oct. 4), T.J. Watt ’s Pittsburgh Steelers (Oct. 18), Justin Herbert ’s Los Angeles Chargers (Dec. 6) and Matthew Stafford ’s Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Jan. 3 in the last home game of the season. They’ll also go head-to-head with Bryce Young ’s Carolina Panthers on Monday, Nov. 30 in what should surely be a tense rematch after their down-to-the-wire season finale. And, even though they’ve had a rough offseason — Mike Evans bolted and Lavonte David retired — general manager Jason Licht has stayed busy to make sure Bowles has the best team possible to put on the field this year. Notable signings include linebacker Alex Anzalone , tight end Cade Otten, running back Kenneth Gainwell , defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson and linebacker Al-Quadin Muhammad . They join No. 15 pick Rueben Bain Jr. and No. 46 Josiah Trotter as well as returning standouts like play-caller Mayfield, safety Antoine Winfield Jr. , offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs , wideout Chris Godwin Jr. and defensive tackle Vita Vea. All that’s missing now is you . After starting the year 2-10, Tyler Shough and the New Orleans Saints finished 2025 strong winning four of their last five games to wrap the year with a 6-11 record. “We feel great with Tyler,” head coach Kellen Moore said at the end of the 2025 season. “Tyler has done an awesome job through this entire process, he’s gotten a ton better, taken advantage of a bunch of opportunities and we’re excited to have a full offseason to build on.” To make sure Shough has the proper support, Kellen Moore’s scrappy club brought in high-profile free agents like versatile running back Travis Etienne Jr. , powerful guard David Edwards, gritty linebacker Kaden Elliss , depth defensive tackle John Ridgeway III and insurance tight end Noah Fant . Exciting draft picks Jordyn Tyson, Christen Miller, Oscar Delp , Jeremiah Wright and Bryce Lance round out the offseason shakeup. They’ll join the returning Shough, Bryan Bresee , Kool-Aid McKinstry , Demario Davis and Carl Granderson on the re-tooled roster. Best of all, Yahoo! Sports reports that the Saints have the second-easiest schedule of all 32 teams based on 2025 records. It won’t be a total walk in the park, though. Notable (and formidable) opponents set to visit The Black and Gold at their home Caesars Superdome include Fernando Mendoza’s Las Vegas Raiders (Sept. 27), Kyler Murray ’s Minnesota Vikings (Oct. 11), Bryce Young ’s Carolina Panthers (Nov. 15), Jordan Love’s Green Bay Packers (Dec. 6) and Baker Mayfield ’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the last home game of the season either on Jan. 9 or 10. The Green Bay Packers have released their 2026 schedule, facing a challenging path that includes matchups against the Chicago Bears (Caleb Williams), Dallas Cowboys (Dak Prescott), Minnesota Vikings (Kyler Murray), Buffalo Bills (Josh Allen), and Detroit Lions (Jared Goff). Despite the tough schedule, oddsmakers project the Packers to win 10.5 games. The team has also made offseason additions, including Javon Hargrove, Benjamin St-Juste, and Skyy Moore
The Los Angeles Rams have released their 2026 schedule, aiming for another strong season after an MVP performance from Matthew Stafford and a 12-5 record in 2025. Despite a challenging schedule, the Rams have made key offseason moves, including acquiring Trent McDuffie and re-signing Kamren Curl. Tickets are available for their home games at SoFi Stadium

Featured pricing is subject to change. The Detroit Lions are ready to rev back up. After winning the NFC North in 2023 and ’24, Jared Goff and co. regressed last season, finishing the year with a 9-8 record and in the cellar of the elite division. “Sometimes you’ve got to hit rock bottom before you can work your way back up,” Head Coach Dan Campbell said after the campaign came to a disappointing close. “As bad as it looks…it’s not as far away as it may appear. We’ve just got to get a few things back in line here.” And, now that the 2026 NFL schedule has officially dropped, we know what The Pride’s path to prosperity looks like. Major opponents headed to Detroit’s Ford Field this season include Jordan Love ’s Green Bay Packers (Oct. 25), Kyler Murray ’s Minnesota Vikings (Nov. 1), Baker Mayfield ’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Nov. 22), Caleb Williams ’ Chicago Bears (Nov. 26) and Jaxson Dart ’s New York Giants on Monday, Dec. 28 in their last home game of the season. To make sure they’re up for the challenge — and avoid a repeat of ’25 — General Manager Brad Holmes got to work these past few months. In addition to drafting Clemson offensive tackle Blake Miller and Michigan defensive end Derrick Moore , he is also bringing two-time Super Bowl champion running back Isiah Pacheco , Frank Ragnow replacement center Cade Mays , backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater , rock-solid offensive lineman Larry Borom , and scrappy safety Christian Izien to the Den of Doom. Fan favorites Goff, Penei Sewell , Amon-Ra St. Brown , Aidan Hutchinson , and Sam LaPorta return as well. Plus, don’t forget Jahmyr Gibbs and Brian Branch will be back, too. Featured pricing is subject to change. The Chicago Bears have spent the offseason dealing with a lot of “what if’s.” Yet, even after their crushing 20-17 overtime loss at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Round, head coach Ben Johnson’s club isn’t letting heartbreak define them. “This will be, hopefully, a feeling in the locker room we won’t forget, and we will be able to use it as fuel,” Johnson, 39, said in a press conference after the game. Now, three months later, Caleb “Ice Man” Williams and co. will finally get to see who they’ll be using that “fuel” against now that the 2026 NFL schedule has officially been released. Just a few of the most notable biggies Chicago will take on at their home Soldier Field this year include NFC North divisional rivals, Kyler Murray ’s Minnesota Vikings (Sept. 20), Jordan Love ’s Green Bay Packers (Dec. 25) and Jared Goff’s Detroit Lions (Jan. 3, 2027) along with huge matchups against Jalen Hurts ’ Philadelphia Eagles (Sept. 28) and Drake Maye ’s AFC champion New England Patriots (Oct. 22). According to Yahoo! Sports , Da Bears come into ’26 at a bit of a disadvantage, having to deal with the strongest strength of schedule of any team in the league due to their success in 2025. To make sure they’re ready and raring to go, General Manager Ryan Poles addressed major pain points and signed Super Bowl-winning safety Coby Bryant , speedy linebacker Devin Bush , prolific tackle Neville Gallimore , and wideout Kalif Raymond , who played for Detroit when Ben Johnson was its offensive coordinator. This talented group joins the nucleus of Williams, Rome Odunze , and Colston Loveland to form a formidable roster that hopefully won’t have to deal with any “what if’s” after next year’s campaign. All that’s missing now is…you. After a shockingly successful 2025 campaign — a 14-3 record, an AFC Championship and a tough loss in the Super Bowl — Drake Maye and Co. will run it back in 2026 and attempt to reach the high highs they achieved last year. In order to get there, they’ll have to get through a number of formidable opponents, considering they have the sixth-hardest strength of schedule of all 32 NFL teams, according to Yahoo! Sports . If you’d like to be in the stands to help root on Mike Vrabel’s mighty squad, tickets are available for all eight home games at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. Notable showdowns set to take place on the Pats’ turf include battles with T.J. Watt ’s Pittsburgh Steelers (Sept. 20), Jordan Love ’s Green Bay Packers (Nov. 8), Josh Allen ’s Buffalo Bills (Dec. 6), Kyler Murray ’s Minnesota Vikings (Dec. 10) and Bo Nix ’s Denver Broncos (Jan. 3). To prepare for these high-stakes contests, General Manager Eliot Wolf has been putting in work this offseason. Over the past few months, the former director of scouting has inked deals with standout guard Alijah Vera-Tucker, high-energy edge linebacker Dre’Mont Jones , potential backup tight end Julian Hill and, most excitingly, splashy wide receiver Romeo Doubs . “Doubs gives the Patriots a strong receiver who can replace Stefon Diggs and run all kinds of routes: intermediate, over the middle, outs and even the occasional deep pattern,” ESPN’s Aaron Schatz said. “He might end up as the Patriots’ top option if they can’t work out an A.J. Brown trade, so don’t be surprised if he tops 1,000 yards for the first time.” Want to see how they mesh with the squad?
