After announcing one wave of cuts on Saturday , the Dolphins have announced the rest of their moves to reduce their roster to 53 players on Sunday. Miami waived offensive tackle Gottlieb Ayedze, cornerback Miles Battle, safety Major Burns, tight end Jeremiah Franklin, quarterback Mark Gronowski, running back Jarquez Hunter, receiver Donaven McCulley, edge rusher Rodney McGraw, cornerback Jai’Onte’ McMillan, quarterback Cam Miller, defensive lineman Fatorma Mulbah, linebacker Cam Riley, and running back Carlos Washington Jr. The club released defensive lineman Matthew Butler, linebacker Tyrel Dodson, edge rusher Cameron Goode, offensive tackle Charlie Heck, safety Lonnie Johnson Jr., receiver Terrace Marshall Jr., edge rusher David Ojabo, receiver Jalen Reagor, and cornerback Marco Wilson. The Dolphins moved cornerback Darrell Baker Jr. and Storm Duck to the reserve/physically unable to perform list. And the team placed defensive lineman Kenneth Grant and edge rusher/linebacker Trey Moore on injured reserve. Both Grant and Moore have been designated to return. All four players will be eligible to return to play after the fourth game of the season

Quinn Ewers is on the move. According to a report from NFL Network, the Dolphins are trading Ewers to the Jaguars. The two teams will swap Day 3 draft picks in 2028 to complete the deal, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. Ewers, 23, was a seventh-round pick in last year’s draft. He started three games for Miami late last season, with the club going 1-2 in those contests. He completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 662 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions in his four appearances. The Dolphins have Cam Miller and Mark Gronowski remaining on their roster at quarterback behind starter Malik Willis. Dolphins QB Quinn Ewers to miss time with groin injury
The Dolphins brought quarterback Mark Gronowski back to the roster on Sunday and an injury to another player at the position likely contributed to the decision. Per multiple reports, Quinn Ewers is dealing with a groin injury. Ewers is expected to be out for at least a week because of the injury. Ewers is currently the backup to Malik Willis in Miami. He was 1-of-8 for 27 yards and an interception against Washington in the Dolphins’ first preseason game. Cam Miller followed Ewers into that contest and will likely be the second quarterback up when they face the Giants on August 22. The first few months of an NFL rookie's career are a whirlwind as they progress from the draft to the regular season, and the 2026 class just completed one of the biggest steps along the way. Rookie minicamps were held over the last two weekends and offered first-year players an opportunity to work with their new coaches and teammates on the practice field for the first time. Newcomers for every team but one participated in the two- to three-day minicamps. The Detroit Lions canceled their minicamp and were the only team to use their time differently. First impressions of their rookies, including No. 17 pick Blake Miller , will have to wait until OTAs start on May 27. Reports from throughout the league, plus comments from coaches and players, offered insight into how this year's draftees will settle in with their respective squads. From position changes to role projections, and from measurements to football IQ, there are plenty of new data points to digest.
