Saints elevate WR Cedric Tillman, OT Easton Kilty
The Saints announced that they have elevated a pair of players from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Steelers. Wide receiver Cedric Tillman and offensive tackle Easton Kilty have been summoned to the active roster for the matchup in Paris. Both players will revert back after the game. Tillman has been elevated for two other games, so the Saints will need to sign him to the active roster if they want him back for another game. He has played five offensive snaps and one special teams snap so far this year. Kilty played on special teams in the Saints’ Week 5 loss to the Vikings

All 32 teams are trimmed down to 53 players after the NFL's roster cut deadline , and now that there are hundreds of veterans, recent draft picks and promising undrafted free agents on the market, teams can begin to file waiver claims. A handful of players who were on the wrong side of the roster cut line will be fortunate enough to have a short wait before finding roster spots through the waiver process. Teams have until 1 p.m. ET on Monday, Aug. 31 to submit waiver claims. Their spot in the waiver wire order determines whether they are awarded their top priority or any secondary priorities they might file. The first waiver wire order of the season matches the 2026 NFL Draft order. That means the Las Vegas Raiders are guaranteed to secure their top waiver priority should they file one. The Browns confirmed the release of wide receiver Cedric Tillman on Thursday afternoon and they also announced that they’ve replaced him on the roster with another 2023 third-round pick. They have claimed cornerback Mekhi Blackmon off of waivers. Blackmon was cut loose by the Colts on Wednesday. Blackmon entered the NFL with the Vikings and he was traded to the Colts ahead of the 2025 season. Blackmon appeared in 15 games as a rookie, missed 2024 with a torn ACL and played in all 17 games during his only year in Indianapolis. Blackmon has 105 tackles, three interceptions, a sack and a fumble recovery for his career. Assuming he makes it through Sunday’s cut to 53 players, he’ll try to add to those totals in his third NFL stop
