Wide receiver Davante Adams is expected to miss the next 6-10 weeks after rupturing his hamstring in last Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals and the Rams moved him off of the active roster on Tuesday. The Rams announced that Adams and defensive tackle Poona Ford have been placed on injured reserve. Ford is going to miss the rest of the season with a triceps injury. The only corresponding move was the previously reported signing of kicker Brandon McManus. He replaces Blake Grupe, who was placed on injured reserve Monday due to a torn ACL. Adams had 30 catches for 480 yards and four touchdowns, so his loss leaves a sizable hole across from Puka Nacua at the top of the team’s receiving corps. Konata Mumpfield, Tutu Atwell, and Jordan Whittington have 13 combined catches for the Rams this season. Ford had 15 tackles and a tackle for loss while appearing in all six games this season. Kobie Turner is also expected to miss extended time with a groin injury, but he has not been placed on injured reserve at this point
Rams receiver Davante Adams sustained a non‑contact leg injury, raising questions about depth at WR and potential trade activity
The Los Angeles Rams ' kicking conundrum continues into Week 6, but not in the way you'd expect. After cutting former placekicker Harrison Mevis after Week 5, L.A. seemingly found its solution after signing veteran Blake Grupe to assume the kicking duties. The former Notre Dame kicker made his Rams debut on Sunday and quickly endeared himself to his new squad by netting a 44-yard field goal in the first quarter. However, things went downhill after that. Grupe is now doubtful to return to Sunday's contest due to a knee injury, the team announced . Grupe suffered the injury while making a tackle on the kickoff following his made field goal. He was seen lowering his shoulder to hit returner Devin Duvernay and came down awkwardly. New Rams kicker Blake Grupe is doubtful to return after making this tackle pic.twitter.com/EgxKFTFSsq With Grupe sidelined, the entire kicking operation is reshuffled. Punter Ethan Evans will serve as the kicker, while receiver Jordan Whittington could be the holder, as ESPN notes he was working on holds along the sideline. Grupe entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2023, initially signing with the Saints . He played for New Orleans until midway through the 2025 season, when he was released. After that, he made stops with the Colts and Jets before finding his way to the Rams. Coming into this game, Grupe had converted 81.9% of his career field goals (86-of-105) and 98% of his extra points (96-of-98). The kicking game has been an issue throughout the first half of the season for the Rams, and it came to a head during Monday's overtime loss to the Bills . Mevis failed to convert on either of his field goal attempts, including what would've been a game-winner, which was blocked. That forced Los Angeles' hand to make a change in favor of Grupe, but this latest injury keeps them in a kicking nightmare

The Rams added wide receiver Puka Nacua to the injury report on Friday. Nacua missed practice with a hip injury. It is unclear whether it is related to the psoas soreness that forced him to leave the joint practice with the Cowboys early on Aug. 13. The psoas is a deep core muscle and a primary hip flexor. Nacua was not listed on the injury report for Week 1. Nacua’s backup, Jordan Whittington, also missed Friday’s practice. Whittington has a quad injury. Safety Kamren Kinchens (hamstring) was the other player who didn’t practice. Safety Kam Curl (ankle), inside linebacker Omar Speights (hip) and inside linebacker Nate Landman (shoulder) were limited. Wide receiver Davante Adams returned to practice Friday after a rest day on Thursday
