Konata Mumpfield a Deep Waiver Target Amid Rams' WR Injuries
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Konata Mumpfield has suddenly become intriguing as a deep-league waiver-wire addition going into the team's Week 7 road contest against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday with veteran Davante Adams (hamstring) on Injured Reserve and star receiver Puka Nacua questionable to play on Sunday due to a calf injury he suffered in practice on Thursday. The 24-year-old former seventh-round selection in 2025 from Pittsburgh only has eight receptions on 17 targets for 127 yards and one touchdown in six games so far this year, but he should take on an elevated role in the Rams' passing game this weekend, even if Nacua is cleared to play. Mumpfield caught 10 of his 23 targets for 92 yards and just one touchdown in 17 regular-season games as a rookie in 2025, mostly serving as WR depth behind Nacua and Adams. But now that both top pass-catchers are ailing, Mumpfield becomes an interesting deep-league option at the position, potentially for as long as Adams remains sidelined

Mumpfield could get a significant bump in opportunity Sunday in Week 7 against Las Vegas since Davante Adams (hamstring) is on IR and Puka Nacua (calf) is questionable to play, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports. The Rams have so far suggested that Nacua's injury is minor, but he's officially questionable for Sunday. Meanwhile, Adams is out a minimum of four games. Quarterback Matthew Stafford will therefore likely look for another wideout to step up, and Mumpfield figures to get an opportunity to produce. When Nacua was out Weeks 2 and 3, Mumpfield hovered around a 70 percent offensive snap share, and he had a big performance against Denver, posting a 4-93-1 receiving line on eight targets. With that said, wideouts Jordan Whittington and Tutu Atwell could also be primed for increased roles, and Stafford may give more attention than usual to tight ends Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen

Rams put Davante Adams, Poona Ford on IR
Wide receiver Davante Adams is expected to miss the next 6-10 weeks after rupturing his hamstring in last Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals and the Rams moved him off of the active roster on Tuesday. The Rams announced that Adams and defensive tackle Poona Ford have been placed on injured reserve. Ford is going to miss the rest of the season with a triceps injury. The only corresponding move was the previously reported signing of kicker Brandon McManus. He replaces Blake Grupe, who was placed on injured reserve Monday due to a torn ACL. Adams had 30 catches for 480 yards and four touchdowns, so his loss leaves a sizable hole across from Puka Nacua at the top of the team’s receiving corps. Konata Mumpfield, Tutu Atwell, and Jordan Whittington have 13 combined catches for the Rams this season. Ford had 15 tackles and a tackle for loss while appearing in all six games this season. Kobie Turner is also expected to miss extended time with a groin injury, but he has not been placed on injured reserve at this point
