Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Dohnte Meyers might be "the best story in any NFL training camp" this summer, according to The Athletic's Paul Dehner Jr. When top wideout Ja'Marr Chase went down earlier this week in practice with a knee scare, Meyers was running with the first team. Dehner adds that Meyers has been "undeniable" in his bid for a roster spot because of the consistency of his playmaking at every turn, when at first it felt like his only path to make the team was as a kick returner on special teams. The 26-year-old stuck around after practice to work with quarterback Joe Burrow on Wednesday and is now "a roster lock" with an offensive role in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. "Physically, he's quick, he's fast, he's got another gear," receivers coach Troy Walters said. Meyers has worked his tail off and is versatile, so he could put a lot of pressure on Andrei Iosivas for the WR3 role sooner rather than later behind Chase and Tee Higgins. It will not be easy, though, as rookie fourth-rounder Colbie Young has also looked good in camp with plenty of highlight catches. For now, Meyers is an interesting bench stash in dynasty/keeper leagues

Questions arise about whether Colbie Young could become the third-string wide receiver, potentially replacing Andrei Iosivas
Colbie Young is making a push for the Bengals' third receiver spot, with a strong preseason performance and spike week potential
Young brought in three of eight targets for 48 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 27-9 preseason win over the Bears on Saturday. The rookie fourth-round pick led the Bengals' pass catchers in receiving yards and targets on the night, and he made his first trip to the end zone as a pro via a 17-yard catch on a pass from Josh Johnson in the latter portion of the second quarter. Young now has a 5-76-1 line on 12 targets over his first two preseason games, making a solid case for the No. 4 receiver role to open the regular season

Young caught two of four targets for 28 yards in Thursday's 16-14 preseason win over the Lions. Young ran with Joe Flacco and the second-team offense in the rookie fourth-round pick's NFL debut. Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are entrenched in the top two spots on Cincinnati's wide receiver depth chart, but Young will try to contribute in a depth role out of the gate. Young should continue to get ample opportunities in the Bengals' second preseason game against the Bears on Aug. 22

Heading into his fourth professional season, dynasty managers pretty much know what to expect from Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas. With the Bengals' most notable addition to the receiver room coming in the form of fourth-round pick Colbie Young, Iosivas is all but locked into the WR3 role he's held for the past two seasons. While five missed games from Tee Higgins allowed Iosivas to find the end zone six times in 2024 (a number that dropped to only two in 2025), the rest of his stat line has remained incredibly consistent. Playing in all 17 games in both seasons, the 2023 sixth-round pick averaged 34.5 catches for 457 yards on a 9.6% target share, hardly straying from that baseline in either season. With Higgins and three-time All-Pro Ja'Marr Chase both on the field, Iosivas has been limited largely to clear-out routes with few opportunities of his own. While his size and versatility have allowed him to step in for either in the event of injury, in more cases than not, targets have been funneled primarily through whichever of the pair remains healthy, with Iosivas' own usage uptick still making him little more than a streaming flex option. Entering the final season of his rookie contract, the 26-year-old could still find greater opportunity on a more manageable depth chart in 2027, but at RotoBaller's dynasty WR141, any upside hype once surrounding Iosivas has all but faded away
