Malik Willis' touchdown pass to Malik Washington puts the Dolphins up 13-3 at halftime, as the Patriots struggle with errors and injuries
Malik Washington caught five of six targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 24-19 loss to the Patriots on Sunday. Washington had a score in the second quarter to put the Dolphins up by 10, led the team in receptions, and tied for the lead in targets. He's developed into a usable PPR asset this season and should have some utility next week against the Lions' secondary
Washington caught five of six targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-19 loss to New England. The five grabs led the team on the afternoon, and Washington capped his performance with a one-yard TD from Malik Willis just before halftime. It was Washington's first score of the season in seven games, and he'll take a 31-329-1 line on 45 targets into a Week 9 meeting with the Lions
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington is still a viable emergency option at wide receiver, but his team's offense continues to struggle too much to make him reliable. Washington caught all three of his targets last week for 27 yards and added eight rushing yards as well. With Caleb Douglas back from IR, Washington's workload could shrink in the coming weeks, although he will still be on the field enough to have volatile upside. This week, the Dolphins host the Patriots, who have been a slightly favorable matchup for receivers. However, since Malik Willis's passing production has been so erratic, Washington is only the WR37 in RotoBaller's Week 8 rankings. He can be a deep league FLEX play or WR3 in an emergency, but he doesn't have a very high ceiling since he has no touchdowns and has not yet reached 70 receiving yards in any of his six games this season
Malik Washington is off the injury report for Sunday's game against the Patriots
Washington (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Patriots, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports. Washington practiced fully Friday after limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday. The Dolphins' WR1 in terms of playing time and targets, Washington still hasn't found the end zone this season, producing 26 catches for 289 yards on 39 targets. He's a low-ceiling WR4 in fantasy

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington is the primary option in a bad offense, and his large role as the team's alpha receiver lately has put him on the fantasy radar as an impressive streamer. Washington has double-digit fantasy points (PPR) in each of his last three games, totaling 23 targets and 16 catches during that span. Washington occupied a larger role because Caleb Douglas (ankle) was sidelined, but now that he has been able to carve out a sizable role in Miami, we expect that he'll remain on the fantasy radar even after Douglas's return. We should get our answer pretty soon, as Douglas is playing in Week 7 against the New York Jets. For the time being, we're continuing to trust Washington as a WR3/flex option with substantial streaming appeal
Caleb Douglas is set to return to the Dolphins’ wide‑receiver room after a Week 2 ankle injury, potentially leading the team’s snap count
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington has been his team's top receiver this year, but the passing game struggled to gain much traction before the team's Week 6 bye. Washington leads the team with 23 catches for 262 yards, but he hasn't found the end zone since starting QB Malik Willis has only had two passing touchdowns all season. No other wide receiver has more than seven catches or 12 targets all season, so Washington has clearly been the go-to option in the passing game. He could get a little competition this week as the Dolphins visit the Jets, though, with Caleb Douglas (ankle) set to return from a three-game absence. With Douglas potentially taking some targets and Willis continuing to struggle, Washington is only RotoBaller's No. 50 WR, making him only a starter in deep leagues or desperate circumstances as he takes on the Jets' solid secondary

Malik Washington remains a waiver wire option after his strong performance in Week 5
Malik Washington caught 6-of-8 targets for 43 yards in Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Washington was technically Miami's leading receiver on Sunday, but he accomplished that with just 43 yards on the day, so his fantasy total wasn't much better than anyone else's. He will continue to have a low ceiling on a week-to-week basis moving forward with how bad Miami's offense is
Washington secured six of eight targets for 43 yards, rushed once for 18 yards, returned two kickoffs for 45 yards and ran back one punt for 28 yards in the Dolphins' 31-24 loss to the Bengals on Sunday. Washington led the Dolphins across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets, although the middle total was relatively modest on an afternoon in which Malik Willis threw for just 137 yards. Washington's catch total was also a new season high, and he's now upped his reception tally over that of the previous week in four consecutive contests. Washington will remain a relevant asset in deeper PPR formats and as a DFS dart throw in a Week 7 road matchup against the Jets on Sunday, Oct. 25 following a Week 6 bye

Week 5 got underway on Thursday with an all-too-familiar feeling of disappointment for the Dallas Cowboys, who were taken down by the previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home. We’ve got a couple of great games this week. We return to London as the Jaguars ‘host’ the embattled Philadelphia Eagles, the Cardinals play host to the Lions in a potential buffet game for fantasy managers, and a potential Super Bowl preview on Monday Night Football between the Bills and Rams. Before we get into this week’s wars, let’s take a look at how last week played out. The scoring system is closest to the final rank wins. I highlighted these players before Sunday’s games: Bryce Young – Sportsbooks win Bucky Irving – Experts win Malik Washingto n – Experts win Kyle Pitts – Sportsbooks win We got ourselves a tie. Now, Week 5. As a follower of the England soccer team, I’m unfortunately all too familiar with the crushing disappointment that only sport can bring. This summer, as the World Cup unfolded, the hope and expectations grew. At the same time, expectations were growing in Los Angeles as the Chargers hired Mike McDaniel as the offensive coordinator. Expectations have a nasty habit of setting us up for disappointment. Like England’s World Cup campaign, the excitement around this Chargers offense has dissipated into bitter frustration. Four games into the season, Justin Herbert ranks as the QB34 in PPG. Cam Ward and Geno Smith have more fantasy points than Herbert, as does Caleb Williams, who has missed the last two games. On paper, it doesn’t look like it is going to get any better any time soon. The Chargers will be without both starting tackles in Sunday’s meeting with the Broncos. Plus, Ladd McConkey is questionable to play. Still, there is a case for this offense against the Broncos. Denver’s usually bulletproof secondary will certainly be without star cornerback Patrick Surtain II and fellow starter Riley Moss. Herbert’s passing-yard total (200.5) ranks 20th among all quarterbacks. His rushing-yard total (25.5) ranks sixth overall. Christmas Day, 2020. I’m trying to enjoy Christmas Dinner with my family. I can’t. My eyes are on Alvin Kamara, who is completely dismantling my championship hopes. It was relentless. One touchdown after another. After another. After another. After another. After another. How are you supposed to enjoy turkey under those circumstances? I’ve never really been the same since. Six years after the Christmas Day my family no longer talks about, Alvin Kamara is once again leading the Saints backfield following an injury to Travis Etienne Jr. Kamara has struggled for efficiency through three weeks, averaging just 2.96 yards per carry. Against the Falcons’ staunch run defense, he went for just 23 rushing yards yet still finished as the RB9 due to his involvement in the passing game and his two scores. The Saints face the Vikings and Brian Flores’ blitz-happy defense. Although the Falcons were able to generate pressure on 49% of dropbacks, the Saints have shown that they are capable of moving the ball. The Saints rank in the top 10 in both total offensive yards and points. The Vikings are giving up the fewest fantasy points to running backs through four weeks, and that is reflected in Kamara’s rushing yard total of 32.5 (29th overall). But at this point in his career, we know that Kamara’s fantasy value isn’t predicated on rushing. Kamara ranks tied for fourth in receptions and eighth in receiving yards. One of my favorite offseason traditions is touting Josh Downs as a potential breakout candidate. We’ve been waiting for the Josh Downs breakout as long as we’ve been waiting for GTA VI. We have a release date for GTA VI on the horizon. The sportsbooks think we could have a Josh Downs breakout game on the horizon, too. Downs was in a good spot last week. Alec Pierce is out indefinitely. Keenan Allen was ruled out prior to kickoff. The Commanders were giving up a then-league-high fantasy points per gam [... truncated ...]
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Malik Washington has been one of the few viable fantasy options from the Dolphins' offense, and he's lined up for a big workload in Week 5 at home against the Bengals. Promising rookie Caleb Douglas (ankle) has been ruled out for a third straight week, leaving Washington the clear No. 1 option in the team's passing game. Last week, QB Malik Willis only managed 85 passing yards, and Washington accounted for 67 of those passing yards by catching all five of his targets. He was the only wide receiver with multiple catches, and he led the team in targets. Washington is the No. 31 wide receiver in RotoBaller's rankings for Week 5, making him a WR3 in deep leagues and a FLEX play in many leagues, where his volume makes him startable despite his team's offensive struggles
