Gesicki caught four of six targets for 76 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 43-36 overtime win against the Titans. Gesicki was able to reach the end zone for the fifth straight game, connecting with Joe Burrow for a 25-yard score in the fourth quarter. The tight end's four catches and 76 receiving yards were both his highest totals since Week 1 versus Tampa Bay. Gesicki has now caught 17 of 24 targets for 241 yards and six scores over seven contests to open the regular season
Samaje Perine of the Bengals is highlighted as a strong anytime touchdown bet for Week 8 against the Tennessee Titans, given his recent usage and potential goal-line role. The article also mentions Ollie Gordon of the Dolphins in the context of touchdown bets, and notes other players like Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Jahmyr Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, Mike Gesicki, Kyle Pitts, Tucker Kraft, Chase Brown, and Braelon Allen
Mike Gesicki has touchdown upside against Tennessee, making him a TE2 with TE1 upside

Gesicki's touchdown streak makes him a solid streaming option for Week 8
The Ravens were in complete control for the first half of Sunday’s divisional matchup with the Bengals. But Cincinnati flipped the script for the game’s final 30 minutes, scoring touchdowns on five consecutive possessions to defeat Baltimore, 35-13. The Bengals did next to nothing on offense for the first half of the contest, with Baltimore dominating time of possession 22:20 to 7:40. Joe Burrow was just 6-of-12 passing for 43 yards and Tee Higgins did not have a catch over the first 30 minutes. But everything changed in the third quarter, as Burrow got things going with a 6-yard touchdown to Mike Gesicki. Then he tossed a 13-yard touchdown to Higgins, giving Cincinnati a 14-13 lead. It didn’t stop there, as Samaje Perine’s 1-yard touchdown increased the lead after a turnover on downs. Ja’Marr Chase got in the action with a 2-yard touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. And Burrow tossed his fourth score after the defense picked off Tyler Huntley, firing a 16-yard TD to Drew Sample. Burrow finished 22-of-30 for 292 yards with four touchdowns, exiting the game with just under five minutes left in the fourth quarter with the outcome all but official. Joe Flacco came in for mop-up work against his former team. Higgins caught six passes for 148 yards with a TD. Chase had five receptions for 62 yards with a score. While the Ravens were 8-of-11 on third down in the first half, they didn’t convert one again until there was just over a minute left in the game — finishing 9-of-16 in the category. On the injury front, Bengals tight end Erick All (knee) and safety Kyle Dugger (quad) were both ruled out. Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith had to exit early in the fourth quarter with a knee issue. Now at 4-2, the Bengals will face the Titans at home next weekend. The 4-3 Ravens will be on the road to face the Bills in Week 8
Bengals take lead over Ravens in third quarter, Joe Burrow throws 2 TDs
Gesicki caught his only target for a six-yard touchdown in Sunday's 35-13 win over the Ravens. Gesicki isn't seeing reliable volume in the form of targets, but he's been a big factor in the red zone this season, as he now has five touchdowns in six games. He's already one away from matching his career high, which was set in 2020 with the Dolphins. Gesicki is repping as the Bengals' slot receiver between Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, but the latter two dominate the passing looks from Joe Burrow
Adds: Mike Gesicki. Drops: Jalon Daniels
The Bengals have opened up a spot on their 53-man roster as they return from their bye week. They announced that tight end Tanner Hudson has been placed on injured reserve. Hudson’s agent announced last week that Hudson will miss the rest of the season after he tore his pectoral in Week 5. Hudson had seven catches for 33 yards, including a touchdown in Cincinnati’s Week 5 win over the Dolphins. Hudson is in his fourth season with the Bengals and his eighth season as an NFL player. Mike Gesicki, Erick All, Drew Sample, and Jack Endries are the team’s remaining tight ends. They could add to that number whenever they decide to fill the opening Hudson leaves on the roster
The Bengals have lost a member of their tight end corps for the rest of the season. Tight end Tanner Hudson’s agent told Charlie Clifford of WLWT that Hudson is out for the year due to a torn pectoral. The injury occurred during the Bengals’ win over the Dolphins in Week 5. Hudson caught a two-yard touchdown pass in the 31-24 win and had three catches for 14 yards overall. He had four catches for 19 yards in the first four weeks of the season. Hudson is in his fourth season with the Bengals and is set to be a free agent in 2027. Mike Gesicki, Erick All, Drew Sample, and Jack Endries are the team’s remaining tight ends
On a day when the temperature on the field in Miami hit 100 degrees, Joe Burrow was hot and the Dolphins were not. Burrow threw four touchdown passes against a hapless Dolphins defense. The Dolphins’ offense couldn’t overcome the frequent mistakes from Malik Willis, who threw two interceptions and fumbled twice. Willis made some plays in garbage time to make his stats and the score look better than they really were, but Cincinnati rolled to an easy 31-24 win. Burrow spread the ball around, with Ja’Marr Chase, Tanner Hudson, Samaje Perine and Mike Gesicki all catching touchdown passes. The Dolphins’ defense, which never sacked Burrow, made it easy for him to find open receivers. The 0-5 Dolphins may be the worst team in the NFL, and they may want to be the worst team in the NFL. This isn’t a team that’s built to win, it’s a team that’s built to get a high pick in the draft and hope to win some day in the future. The 3-2 Bengals look like they could win this year. In a wide-open AFC North, the Bengals look like contenders
Cincinnati Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki will take on his former team as the Bengals travel to Miami in Week 5. Gesicki was fantasy relevant again in last week's loss, catching three passes for 40 yards and a touchdown. The veteran tight end now has three touchdowns on the season, catching one in three of the first four games this year. The one game where he did not catch a touchdown, Gesicki did not have a single reception. While that one goose egg game is concerning, he's been involved in every other game. Gesicki will get the opportunity to be fantasy relevant again in a revenge game against his former team. The Miami Dolphins will host Cincinnati on Sunday in a game where the Bengals are heavy road favorites. Gesicki will also get the chance to step up in the potential absence of Ja'Marr Chase or Tee Higgins. With both wide receivers questionable, quarterback Joe Burrow should pepper Gesicki with targets throughout the contest. Gesicki is ranked TE19 in our RotoBaller Week 5 PPR rankings, but those rankings may not reflect the uptick in usage he should get without the two wideouts active. Gesicki should be considered a strong start at the tight end position with enough upside to be in the flex conversation this weekend
Adds: Mike Gesicki. Drops: Darren Waller
With WRs Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins sidelined due to injuries, TE Mike Gesicki is expected to see an increased role and is considered a high-priority waiver add for Week 5. Gesicki recorded 40 receiving yards and a touchdown in Week 4, finishing as the TE6. The Bengals face the Dolphins in Week 5, a team that has struggled against the tight end position
One of those things that can be tough with injuries
Mike Gesicki had a good game in Week 4, catching a touchdown and 3-of-5 targets for 40 yards, and could be a good fantasy option in Week 5 with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins possibly missing time
The Jaguars defeated the Bengals 22-17 on Sunday, with Joe Burrow throwing for 428 yards but also throwing two interceptions
