Can Titans RB Tony Pollard rush for his 5th straight 1,000 yard season?
Tennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard has one of the most underrated active streaks in the NFL. He’s rushed for 1,000+ yards in four straight seasons. Only former Titans legend Derrick Henry has matched that productivity from 2022 onward. Pollard will attempt to rush for his fifth straight 1,000-yard season in 2026. The Titans have a new offensive coordinator in Brian Daboll. It’ll be interesting to monitor how the Titans utilize Pollard in the backfield, and what the offense’s pass-run split is. In fairness, Pollard has barely crossed the 1,000 yard mark in several of those seasons. Some of them included a concentrated effort in the regular-season finale to help ensure he gets his incentive pay. In all four of Pollard’s 1,000-yard seasons, he rushed for fewer than 1,100 yards, including outputs of 1,005 and 1,007. Pollard has been the Titans’ workhorse since signing a three-year contract in 2024. The Titans obviously feel better about Pollard and Tyjae Spears as their backfield tandem than fans thought they did. Jeremiyah Love was a popular mock-draft selection, but the team didn’t select a running back until getting Nicholas Singleton on Day Three . What’s interesting is that Daboll hasn’t had many 1,000-yard rushers as a coordinator. In four years as the Buffalo Bills ‘ coordinator, they did not have a single 1,000-yard rusher, though Pollard is more talented than Devin Singletary or Zach Moss were. In nearly four seasons as the New York Giants ‘ head coach, Saquon Barkley rushed for 1,000 yards just once, though an injury prevented him from doing it twice. Pollard may be the Titans’ workhorse again, especially because Spears has been injury prone in recent campaigns. If the offense leans on Ward’s gunslinging mentality, like Daboll’s Bills offense did with Josh Allen , then Pollard may have a difficult time keeping his 1,000-yard streak going

Titans OTAs: News & Notes from practice No. 9 (6/11): Cam Ward struggles
Cam Ward had an uneven practice, going 12-of-24 with no touchdowns and two sacks. Coach Saleh expressed confidence, but Ward needs to improve. The defense appeared to win the day, with Jacob Martin and Keldric Faulk generating pressure. Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears are the clear bellcows at RB, making it tough for rookie Nicholas Singleton. Titans OTAs: News & Notes from practice No. 7 (6/8): Cam Ward to Carnell Tate again
The Tennessee Titans were on the practice field Monday afternoon. It was their seventh of 10 scheduled OTA practices, with the final session concluding on Friday. Thanks to local beat writers like Paul Kuharsky, Turron Davenport, and A to Z Sports, we’ve compiled some notable tidbits from Monday’s practice. Cam Ward hit Carnell Tate for a 50-yard touchdown, per Kuharsky . Poor cornerback Micah Robinson was in coverage, and he’s been routinely victimized by Tate throughout OTAs. Ward and his rookie receiver continue building chemistry at OTAs. Jermaine Johnson II and Mitch Trubisky reported to OTAs for the first time. Trubisky reportedly looked significantly better than Will Levis has, also per PK. That’s not surprising. They signed him to be an upgrade at backup quarterback. Johnson also made several plays at his first practice, per Davenport . He knocked down a Ward screen pass, and tracked down Tyjae Spears on the next play. The Titans traded for Johnson to reunite him with Robert Saleh, and they need him to be effective in 2026. Levis has now thrown four interceptions in three practices open to the media. He continues to be a rollercoaster of a performer. With Trubisky officially back at practice, the Titans should look to trade Levis this offseason . Calvin Ridley supposedly was moving around well. He continues to be absent from team periods as he’s working back from last year’s season-ending injury. The Titans need Ridley to be an effective receiver in 2026. Amani Hooker , Femi Oladejo, Jeffery Simmons , Cor’Dale Flott, and Dan Moore Jr. were allegedly absent from practice, per Davenport . In Oladejo’s case, he’s been spotted at past practices working on the side field. Reminder that OTAs are totally voluntary and attendance isn’t mandatory. Simmons often works out in Dallas during the offseason. It sounds like Flott, the team’s $45 million cornerback, isn’t there

Spears probably has one of the league's better dual-threat skillsets, offering elusive rushing ability along with the pass-catching prowess necessary to rapidly draw targets. Spears doesn't run with much power, however, at around 195 pounds, and he lacks the top speed to regularly break off long gains in the NFL the way he did at Tulane. With few easy touchdowns and not many big plays to provide quick points, Spears' fantasy utility is dependent on his reception count, which isn't always easily arranged as the backup to Tony Pollard. The bigger issue yet is arguably his durability -- Spears suffered a high-ankle sprain Aug. 9 that kept him out all the way until Week 5 of the regular season last year, and the concern is greater yet for his concussion history (two in 2024) and his troublesome knee. As a complementary threat off the bench, Spears should continue to be useful for the Titans, but fantasy investors should understand that even a Pollard injury wouldn't necessarily lead to Spears getting 15-plus touches per week

Offseason Additions Hurt Elic Ayomanor's Dynasty Outlook

In another lost season for the Tennessee Titans in 2025, fourth-round rookie wide receiver Elic Ayomanor saw plenty of opportunities and finished as the team's second-leading receiver with 41 catches on his 89 targets for 515 yards and four touchdowns across 16 games (14 starts). The 22-year-old out of Stanford wasn't very efficient, though, with a catch rate of 46.1% and plenty of drops in an inconsistent offense led by rookie quarterback Cameron Ward. While Ayomanor's first year in the league has to be considered a success after he was drafted in the fourth round, he's unlikely to get as many chances to produce going forward as he did last season, considering Tennessee's offseason additions at the wideout position. The Titans added target hog Wan'Dale Robinson in free agency and drafted former Ohio State star pass-catcher Carnell Tate with the fourth overall pick. Veteran Calvin Ridley (leg) is still on the roster, and second-year tight end Gunnar Helm is also expected to have an expanded role in the passing game. Oh, and there's also fellow second-year receiver Chimere Dike to compete with. It's going to be difficult for Ayomanor to rise above his rookie production going forward in Tennessee. Tyjae Spears Facing Competition in a Contract Year
Tennessee Titans running back Tyjae Spears will face added competition in the backfield during the 2026 season. Spears and teammate Tony Pollard survived the first two days of the draft without the team selecting a running back, but that changed on Day 3 when they selected Penn State standout Nicholas Singleton. Singleton had an explosive 2024 season but cooled off in 2025, dropping his draft stock significantly. Still, the Penn State product has proven that he is a talented player capable of contributing on the ground or through the air. That's bad news for Spears, who is a pass-catching specialist and typically gets on the field for third downs. Singleton had 91 catches and 902 receiving yards over his final three collegiate seasons. It's a contract year for Spears, so he'll do everything he can to fight for playing time so that he can showcase himself ahead of free agency. Day 3 picks typically don't contribute right away, so Spears will at least have an opportunity to solidify his role early in the season
