Seahawks second-round S Bud Clark carted off with leg injury
Seahawks rookie safety Bud Clark was carted off with a right leg injury in Sunday night’s preseason game against the Titans. Clark was injured on the Titans’ first play from scrimmage on a 9-yard run by Tony Pollard. The second-round pick wore a vacuum splint on his right leg as he left the field. His teammates wished him well before he departed. In the joint practice earlier in the week, the Seahawks lost wide receiver Jake Bobo for the season with a right leg injury. Clark was competing for playing time behind starters Ty Okada and Julian Love after the Seahawks lost starter Coby Bryant in free agency. Clark totaled three tackles in his preseason debut. The Seahawks now will lean on D’Anthony Bell, A.J. Finley and Rodney Thomas. The team’s first-round pick, running back Jadarian Price, has not suited up in the preseason, and he won’t play next week either as he works his way back from upper-leg soreness

Initial diagnosis for Jake Bobo is a "serious knee injury"
Jake Bobo’s injury looked bad when it happened during a joint practice with the Titans, and when both teams took a knee, it was an indication it was as bad as it looked. “We said a prayer for him. Hate to see it ,” Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said, via video from Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times . Macdonald said Bobo’s initial knee diagnosis is not good. “Our heart goes out to Jake Bobo,” Macdonald said. “It looks like it’s going to be a serious knee. We’re going to get it imaged, but early returns are that it looks like it’s a long-term injury, so it’s unfortunate.” Bobo went down after going up for a catch near the sideline and came down awkwardly. He required a cart to get to the training room. Bobo appeared in 11 games for Seattle last year, with most of his snaps coming on special teams. But he also played in all three postseason games, catching two passes for 33 yards with a touchdown as the Seahawks won Super Bowl LX. “He’s a beast, man,” Macdonald said. “He’s just a great football player, great Seahawk. We hopefully reflected that in our investment in him. We love him. We’ll be there beside him as he recovers and pray it’s a speedy recovery.”

Seahawks fan favorite Jake Bobo reveals offseason interest from hometown team
The Seattle Seahawks nearly lost fan favorite wide receiver, Jake Bobo , to the Jacksonville Jaguars this past offseason. That was after Bobo, whom at the time was a restricted free agent, signed a two-year, $5.5 million offer sheet . Although many in the media expected the Seahawks not to match, Seattle ended up doing so , leading to Bobo returning to the Pacific Northwest. However, a new report by the Boston Herald states that the Jaguars were not the only team interested in Bobo’s services . In an interview with Greg Dudek, Bobo revealed the New England Patriots were eying Bobo, as well. Had that happened, that would have been a homecoming for the Massachusetts native. “They were,” Bobo told the Herald when asked if the Patriots were one of the teams to show interest in him during free agency. “And I made the mistake of telling my mom that, who then got very, very excited. She doesn’t realize there are varying degrees of ‘sniffing around.’ I think once the Pats realized what they might have to pay the slow, skinny white kid I think they bowed out of it.” Bobo may not be going back to his home state, but he’s very much developed a connection with the Emerald City. “(Massachusetts) is where I grew up. That’s where my friends and family are still based. But at the end of the day, I’d go play anywhere,” Bobo said. “I obviously have now this link emotionally to the city of Seattle, which is weird to even think about just being connected emotionally to a city that’s not Boston. It’s a little odd. But to be back in Seattle ultimately, that’s where I wanted to be and I’m very, very grateful that we were able to work that out.” Of course, the Patriots went in a different direction, trading for AJ Brown , as well as signing wide receiver Romeo Doubs in free agency. Although Bobo has not impressed on the stat sheet, he has proven to be a critical member (and leader) for Seattle these past few seasons. His impact is seen not only on special teams, but also in his blocking as a wide receiver. Bobo has also come up in the clutch when called upon. Just look at his 17-yard touchdown reception in the NFC Championship game last season against the Los Angeles Rams . That was only his fourth catch in all of 2025. Bobo looks to have a similar role this next season as he projects to be the fourth wide receiver on the depth chart behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba , Rashid Shaheed , and Cooper Kupp . Depending on Tory Horton ’s health, Bobo may even slide down to the fifth wide receiver position. Nonetheless, Bobo looks to be a significant contributor to the Seahawks, even if the stat sheet does not indicate as such

Despite playing in a low-volume pass attack, JSN still put up absurd stats: 119 catches for a league-leading 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns. Does anyone know who was second on the team in receptions? A.J. Barner. Yes, Barner had 52 catches in the regular season, five more than Cooper Kupp . While the latter had more receiving yards, Barner was second in receptions and receiving touchdowns. Not bad for someone billed as a blocking tight end. For this week’s Seahawks Reacts survey, we’re exempting JSN from the question of who will lead the team in catches. If JSN isn’t the leader in catches then either someone had a breakout season (good) or something went horribly wrong with JSN (bad). Essentially, we’re asking who comes in second place. Will it be a Cooper Kupp renaissance? Will it be Barner again? What about Rashid Shaheed in his first full season in Seattle? How about a healthy Tory Horton ?
