Judkins (ankle) is taking carries in 11-on-11s, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Five months removed from surgery on a broken leg and a dislocated ankle, Judkins is already sprinting and making cuts during team drills at OTAs. While this rapid progress doesn't automatically mean he'll be a full participant when contact work begins in late July, it proves he is ahead of schedule in his rehab and on track for a Week 1 start. The Browns have shaky depth behind him in the backfield, rostering 2025 fourth-round pick Dylan Sampson and a quartet of undrafted young players
Cleveland Browns second-year running back Quinshon Judkins (ankle) was seen working in 11-on-11 drills during the team's offseason workout on Wednesday, according to Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal. Judkins only played in 14 games for Cleveland in his first year in the league after being selected with the 36th overall pick in the second round last year out of Ohio State due to a broken leg and dislocated ankle. The 22-year-old is looking good during organized team activities, though, sprinting and making cuts during drills. Barring a setback, Judkins appears to be on track to be a full-go for Week 1 of the 2026 regular season this fall. He averaged only 3.6 yards per carry in his first NFL season, but Judkins showed plenty of upside with 230 carries for 827 rushing yards and seven touchdowns, adding 26 catches for 171 yards as a pass-catcher on 36 targets. As long as he's healthy, Judkins should be close to a three-down workhorse for the Browns. Target him as an RB2 in fantasy drafts with upside for more. At RotoBaller, Judkins is ranked as the No. 24 fantasy RB for his sophomore campaign

After a season dominated by headlines about who would start at quarterback, new Head Coach Todd Monken has yet to name DeShaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders (or dark horse Dillon Gabriel ) as his first stringer. “I’m not ready to say that yet,” Monken said when asked if Sanders, who finished 2025 with a 3-4 record in games he started, had the edge. Regardless of that pesky roster decision, Cleveland does have one thing working in their favor: They’ve been blessed with the NFL’s easiest schedule in 2026. Yahoo! Sports reports that out of all 32 teams, their strength of schedule is the weakest, with their opponents tallying a collective .429 winning percentage in ’25. Not all of their opponents are slouches, though. Just a few of the biggest home games going down at Cleveland’s Huntington Bank Field include showdowns with competitive teams like Bryce Young ’s Carolina Panthers (Sept. 27), T.J. Watt ’s Pittsburgh Steelers (Oct. 1), Lamar Jackson ’s Baltimore Ravens (Oct. 18), C.J. Stroud ’s Houston Texans (Nov. 15) and Daniel Jones ’ Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2027, which is the last home game of the season. Throw in the fact that the franchise signed Zion Johnson , Elgton Jenkins , Kalia Davis , Quincy Williams and Jack Stoll and had an exceptional draft, scooping up offensive tackle Spencer Fano and wideouts KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston and there’s downright reason for optimism in Cleveland. All that’s missing now is you. If you’re hoping to make it out to the Dawg Pound to see the new guys along with fan favorites Myles Garrett , Denzel Ward , Quinshon Judkins , Carson Schwesinger , and either Watson, Sanders, or Gabriel, tickets are available for all eight Cleveland Browns 2026 home games at Huntington Bank Field on SeatGeek. A fourth-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Cleveland Browns running back Dylan Sampson collected 446 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on 98 touches across 15 games as a rookie. The 21-year-old carved out a consistent role as a receiver out of the backfield, hauling in 33 receptions for 271 yards and two scores on 40 targets. Heading into 2026, Quinshon Judkins profiles as the clear lead back in Cleveland. However, the Browns did not make any notable additions to the backfield and let veteran back Jerome Ford walk in free agency. As a result, Sampson currently projects as the team's RB2 and should see the majority of the third and obvious passing-down snaps. He also carries value as a handcuff option behind Judkins, who is recovering from a dislocated ankle that ended his 2025 campaign. In dynasty formats, Sampson could be a worthy low-cost target for fantasy managers ahead of 2026
Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins ran with power and purpose in 2025 before a dislocated ankle and fractured fibula ended his rookie season. Even with the presumption of full health heading into year two, there were still concerns that his fantasy ceiling could be capped in a pedestrian Cleveland offense. With the Browns committing heavily to one side of the ball in the 2026 NFL Draft, many of those concerns have been assuaged, and Judkins has risen to RB12 in RotoBaller's dynasty rankings. With the ninth overall pick, Cleveland made Utah's Spencer Fano the first offensive lineman off the board before spending its next two picks on receivers KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston. With 2025 breakout tight end Harold Fannin Jr. already in the mix, the Browns have assembled the pieces of what could be a potent offense, putting Judkins in a far more favorable position if the team can overcome what again projects to be below-average quarterback play. Judkins ran for 827 yards as a rookie, but with defenses often keying on him, only 11.1% of that total came before contact. The additions made by Cleveland through the draft should help to open more space, and if the team can find a quarterback fix through one of the four players currently on the roster or in a loaded 2027 draft class, Judkins' hard-running consistency could soon make him a dynasty running back worth building around
Judkins (ankle) was spotted in uniform and rehabbing at the start of Cleveland's voluntary minicamp Tuesday, Dylan Feltovich of USA Today reports. Judkins' exact participation level is difficult to determine, with Camryn Justice of News 5 Cleveland reporting that the 2025 second-round pick participated in on-field activities in some capacity, while Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports that he monitored practice from a side field. In any case, Judkins' activity level during spring figures to be largely limited to rehab work as he recovers from surgery undergone in late December to address a dislocated right ankle. Ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, Judkins projects as the leader of a backfield that also houses Dylan Sampson, Raheim Sanders and Ahmani Marshall, all of whom are second-year pros
Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins (knee) was spotted on the field during Tuesday's voluntary minicamp, according to Browns beat writer Camryn Justice. It's a positive development after the second-rounder's rookie season was cut short by a knee injury. The Browns drafted the Ohio State star with hopes that he'd eventually take over for Nick Chubb as the team's primary back in Cleveland, and he quickly did in 2025, running for 827 yards and seven touchdowns on 230 carries (3.6 yards per tote) in 14 starts. The 22-year-old added 26 catches for 171 yards through the air on 36 targets. Judkins' presence on the field for the start of the voluntary offseason program is a good sign that he should be fully healthy for the start of the 2026 season. There's plenty to like about Judkins in the long-term, but he'll need to be more efficient in Year 2 in what could once again be a very inconsistent Browns offense if he wants to take the next step and become a reliable RB1 in fantasy football
Quinshon Judkins was watching practice at the start of voluntary minicamp on Tuesday. Judkins is continuing to rehab his leg injury that ended his season early last year. His status will have to continue to be monitored as we get closer to OTAs and training camp
Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins finished his first season as RB23 by points per game, the fourth-highest total in a loaded rookie class. A dislocated ankle and fractured fibula ended his season in Week 16, but by all accounts, his recovery has gone well, and he should be available for the start of training camp. The Browns have brought in a new coaching staff for 2026, but some of the surrounding elements that stood in the way of a true breakout have not been addressed. Cleveland saw some of the worst quarterback and offensive line play in the league in 2025, and those remain points of concern heading into the NFL Draft. While they will likely need to wait until 2027 to make any upgrades at quarterback, two first-round picks could have them in position to address the line at multiple spots. Judkins hard-running style and safe bet for volume should provide a healthy floor for fantasy, but with Cleveland's offense again projected to be among the worst in the league, he may not have the scoring opportunities needed to raise his ceiling, especially considering his lack of involvement in the passing game
