Ken Anderson says Bob Trumpy was “Gronk before Gronk”

Cincinnati Bengals legend Ken Anderson spoke to Fox19 about two of his former teammates, Bob Trumpy and James Brooks, who were recently selected for the Bengals’ Ring of Honor. The former Bengals quarterback, QB coach, and offensive coordinator called both players “great teammates” and noted Trumpy’s ability to play like a traditional tight end, blocking and getting open over the middle, while also running wide receiver routes. “I always say [Trumpy] was Gronk before Gronk ,” Anderson said, referring to future Hall of Fame tight end Rob Gronkowski. Anderson then mentioned that Trumpy’s career yards per catch (15.4) was the best of any Bengal in the franchise’s history. Anderson also talked about Trumpy’s bold move into the broadcast booth and beautiful voice. Then the conversation shifted to Brooks, who Anderson praised for his exceptional toughness between the tackles despite his size as well as his pioneering play in the passing game. “At one point in his career, his touchdown receptions were head and shoulders ahead of every other running back in the league,” Anderson said. Brooks, who is second in Bengals history in rushing yards, made four Pro Bowls during that run and helped the team make the Super Bowl after the 1988 season. Trumpy was an original Bengal in 1968 and spent 10 seasons with the team. He caught 298 passes for 4,600 yards and 35 touchdowns before moving into a long run calling games for NBC

Andrei Iosivas Carries Little Standalone Fantasy Value into 2026

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas has spent his first three seasons buried on a depth chart behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. While he's shown the occasional pop for fantasy, most notably as a red zone option in 2024, the insurmountable talent at the top of the room has him entering the final year of his rookie deal as little more than a role player. While dynasty managers with the luxury to do so should continue to hold him in hopes of finding greener pastures through free agency in 2027, Iosivas is not a player who should factor into 2026 redraft plans. Andrei Iosivas' Dynasty Value Unlikely to Change in a Contract Season

Heading into his fourth professional season, dynasty managers pretty much know what to expect from Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Andrei Iosivas. With the Bengals' most notable addition to the receiver room coming in the form of fourth-round pick Colbie Young, Iosivas is all but locked into the WR3 role he's held for the past two seasons. While five missed games from Tee Higgins allowed Iosivas to find the end zone six times in 2024 (a number that dropped to only two in 2025), the rest of his stat line has remained incredibly consistent. Playing in all 17 games in both seasons, the 2023 sixth-round pick averaged 34.5 catches for 457 yards on a 9.6% target share, hardly straying from that baseline in either season. With Higgins and three-time All-Pro Ja'Marr Chase both on the field, Iosivas has been limited largely to clear-out routes with few opportunities of his own. While his size and versatility have allowed him to step in for either in the event of injury, in more cases than not, targets have been funneled primarily through whichever of the pair remains healthy, with Iosivas' own usage uptick still making him little more than a streaming flex option. Entering the final season of his rookie contract, the 26-year-old could still find greater opportunity on a more manageable depth chart in 2027, but at RotoBaller's dynasty WR141, any upside hype once surrounding Iosivas has all but faded away

2026 Season Outlook

There wasn't much of a role on offense for Brooks as a rookie, and the 2025 sixth-round pick saw only 17 touches over 16 regular-season games. The Texas Tech product did see regular work on special teams, however. Brooks looks the part of a power back with a 5-foot-9, 220-pound frame, and a strong athletic profile at the combine included a respectable 4.52 40-yard time as well as a 91st percentile showing in the short shuttle and a 79th percentile mark in the three-cone drill. A lack of third-down skills limits his utility, but Brooks offers some value to the Bengals as a short-yardage option behind Chase Brown and Samaje Perine. Perine also turns 31 in September and is in the final year of a modest contract, so if Brooks can take a step forward as a ball-carrier, he could muscle his way into the No. 2 job
