Brock Bowers, despite injuries in his second season, demonstrated his elite potential by breaking rookie reception records and delivering strong performances in his healthiest games. At 23, he is considered a top dynasty asset, especially with new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak's potential to feature him heavily in the passing game. Paired with QB Fernando Mendoza, Bowers is poised for a dominant and potentially league-winning fantasy career at tight end
Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak hasn’t been in his job long, but he’s been in it long enough to know who one of the cornerstones of his team will be this season. Tight end Brock Bowers had 112 catches for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie, but an early-season knee injury forced him to play at less than 100 percent and miss time during his second year. The 2024 first-round pick 64 catches for 680 yards and seven touchdowns in 12 games, but it doesn’t sound like any of the knee issues have been troubling Bowers this offseason. Kubiak called Bowers a “standard bearer” for the organization and had a colorful description of what’s impressed him most about Bowers on the field. “He’s kind of a football robot , in a good way,” Kubiak said at a Wednesday press conference. “He’s a football robot from heaven. You know, he’s a Cadillac out there. We gotta get the most out of Brock. Wherever he goes, he’s been successful.” The Raiders have followed up the Bowers selection by taking running back Ashton Jeanty and quarterback Fernando Mendoza in the first round of the last two drafts. If all goes as hoped in Vegas, the trio will be the centerpiece of a lot of winning during the Kubiak era
Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak showered praise on tight end Brock Bowers, calling him a 'football robot from heaven' and a 'Cadillac'. Kubiak also commented on Fernando Mendoza, stating he is 'as advertised'. Bowers has had a highly productive start to his NFL career, earning Pro Bowl selections and All-Pro status despite injuries
The Las Vegas Raiders began their OTA sessions this week and new head coach Klint Kubiak spoke to the media on Wednesday. As expected, veteran addition Kirk C0usins was working with the first-team offense Wednesday. Fernando Mendoza, the No. 1 overall draft pick, was working mostly with rookies, which is expected. Expect Mendoza’s time with the veterans to increase, perhaps in the June mandatory minicamp and certainly in training camp. Kubiak said he has no timeline set for naming a starting quarterback, but he noted training camp will be vital. As he always has been, Kubiak was complimentary of Mendoza and his work ethic. He said the Heisman Trophy winner “is as advertised.” Meanwhile, Kubiak delivered an doozy of a quote on super start tight end Brock Bowers , calling him a “football robot from heaven.” I’ve been around coaches talking about players for many year and that is one hell of a quote. It’s going to be so fun watching Kubiak designed plays for Bowers. In other Raiders’ OTA news based on reports from the session: Rookie cornerback Jermod McCoy was participating in more drills than he was doing at the rookie minicamp two weeks ago. Kubiak said McCoy “is progressing nicely” and the team has a plan to get him prepared for training camp. So, at the moment, things look good for him trying to play this season. The Raiders’ offensive line Wednesday was Kolton Miller (left tackle), Spencer Burford (left guard), Tyler Linderbaum (center), Jackson Powers-Johnson (right guard) and DJ Glaze (right tackle). This makes sense in May, but there will be competitions everywhere but left tackle and center with young players Trey Zuhn, Caleb Rogers and Charles Grant all in the mix as well. Zuhn, who is expected to compete at guard, was at right tackle Wednesday. Kubiak said Zuhn was drafted to play multiple positions. Taron Johnson was not present. He reportedly is sitting out the voluntary sessions because he wants a contract adjustment. The Raiders have not been practicing with their helmet shield. Kubiak said the team will earn the shield as a whole when its ready. As expected, star defensive end Maxx Crosby will present but not participating. He is expected to be ready to practice during training camp and Kubiak said he wouldn’t be surprised if Crosby was ahead of schedule. Free-agent addition Nakobe Dean wasn’t seen by reporters Wednesday. The reason was unknown. According to reports, in addition to Johnson and Dean, the other players who were not seen Wednesday were kicker Matt Gay defensive tackle Benito Jones and wide receiver Jalen Nailor . The Athletic reported that Dean and Nailor’s absence were family related. Linebacker Tommy Eichenberg was working on the side Wednesday. Kubiak said the team is not coaching accountability or effort with the rookies because general manager John Spytek and his staff did a good job of getting people
Kirk Cousins is reportedly the first quarterback on the field during Las Vegas Raiders OTAs, ahead of Aidan O'Connell and rookie Fernando Mendoza. Head coach Klint Kubiak has not named a starter, but Cousins is expected to begin the season as the starter due to his experience and familiarity with Kubiak's offense
Las Vegas Raiders new head coach Klint Kubiak is excited to get to work with tight end Brock Bowers, whom he called a "football robot from heaven," according to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN. Bowers, the 13th overall pick in 2024 out of Georgia, didn't disappoint in his first year in the NFL, catching 112 of his 153 targets for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns in 17 games to finish as the No. 1 TE in fantasy. The 23-year-old battled a knee injury in his sophomore season, though, which limited him to just 12 games, and he finished with a disappointing 64 catches for 680 yards and seven touchdowns on 86 targets, which put him at the TE10 mark when all was said and done. Now past his knee injury and set to work with quarterbacks Kirk Cousins and Fernando Mendoza (the No. 1 overall pick in this year's draft), Bowers is the top dynasty TE and should also be considered one of the top targets at the position in redraft fantasy leagues in 2026. Kubiak figures to make Bowers a huge part of the passing game in his first year in Vegas, especially since the Raiders' top receivers are Tre Tucker and Jalen Nailor
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker is coming off the best season of his career. Across 17 games in 2025, he caught 57 passes for 696 yards and five touchdowns. He ranked as the overall WR38 in PPR leagues, which was the highest mark of his career. He also led the Raiders' receivers in numerous statistical categories. However, even though the Raiders didn't bring in any star receivers this offseason, Tucker is trending down in dynasty fantasy football leagues. Tucker is heading into a contract year, which means he could be at a disadvantage relative to teammates Jalen Nailor, Jack Bech, Malik Benson, and D'onte Thornton Jr., all of whom have stronger long-term outlooks in Vegas. Additionally, tight end Brock Bowers will be the focal point of the passing game, hogging targets in his high-volume role. Tucker will have some occasional big games, but he won't produce consistently enough (or long enough) to justify trading for him in dynasty leagues. In fact, his stock is falling, as he has dropped to WR93 in RotoBaller's latest dynasty rankings
As a second-round pick with an easy-to-root-for story, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jack Bech was a popular early pick in 2025 dynasty rookie drafts, but his first-year production was terribly disappointing. In a Raiders offense that saw number one receiver Jakobi Meyers traded away after Week 9 and All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers either slowed or sidelined by injury for much of the year, Bech mustered up only 224 yards on 20 catches and failed to find the end zone. He finished eighth in total targets for a team that signed a 33-year-old Tyler Lockett off the street partway through the season. Working in Bech's favor is a lack of competition from what remains one of the league's weakest receiver rooms, along with expectations for the offense to take a massive step forward under new head coach Klint Kubiak. The Raiders invested heavily in the offensive line and spent the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on quarterback Fernando Mendoza. When healthy, Bowers and running back Ashton Jeanty will remain the unquestioned lynchpins of the offense, but if Bech can beat out Tre Tucker for a reliable tertiary pass-catching role, he could offer a usable fantasy floor. At only 23 years old, he is RotoBaller's dynasty WR80

On Thursday, April 23, the Las Vegas Raiders selected 2025 Heisman Award-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first pick and kick-started a new era for the sputtering franchise. After four consecutive losing seasons — the last time the club finished a campaign above .500 was in 2021 when they went 10-7 — new head coach Klint Kubiak will try to turn things around with his blue-chip rookie quarterback. They will have their work cut out for them, though. Although they finished 2025 with a lowly 3-14 record, they still have the seventh-most difficult schedule of any NFL team in 2026 due to the strength of the AFC West, according to Yahoo Sports . That means the revamped squad will go head-to-head with powerhouse franchises like Patrick Mahomes ’ Kansas City Chiefs (Oct. 4), Josh Allen ’s Buffalo Bills (Oct. 18), Matthew Stafford ’s Los Angeles Rams (Oct. 25), Sam Darnold ’s Super Bowl-winning Seattle Seahawks (Nov. 15) and Bo Nix’s Denver Broncos (Dec. 20) at their home Allegiant Stadium this coming season. To make sure they’re prepared, general manager John Spytek retained star defensive end Maxx Crosby (after a botched trade) and brought in splashy center Tyler Linderbaum to protect Mendoza along with sack-happy defensive end Kwity Paye and battle-tested linebackers Nakobe Dean and Quay Walker . Standout tight end Brock Bowers , underrated left tackle Kolton Miller and breakout running back Ashton Jeanty will all return as well. Now all that’s missing is you . If you want to get down to “The Death Star” and see if the Men In Black have what it takes (possibly from the Black Hole if you’re a real one), tickets are available for all eight 2026 home games at Las Vegas ’ Allegiant Stadium as of today on SeatGeek. After being released by the Atlanta Falcons in March, veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins signed a two-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency. Cousins opened 2026 as the backup in Atlanta, but took over as the QB1 midseason and finished the year with 1,721 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, and five interceptions across 10 games (eight starts). Long term, Cousins projects as the backup in Las Vegas following the team's selection of quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the number one overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. However, Cousins could open 2026 as the starter should the Raiders choose to bring Mendoza along slowly. Still, Cousins averaged just 6.4 yards per pass attempt in 2025 and is joining a Raiders offense that has serious questions in its pass-catcher group outside of star tight end Brock Bowers. Cousins could have some short-term fantasy value in two-quarterback leagues, but his dynasty value is fading as he enters his age-38 season
Here, we’ll go over eight early fantasy football average draft positions (ADP) I’m planning to track over the summer, as they raise an eyebrow one way or the other. I’m not ready to say these guys are overvalued or undervalued with certainty just yet, but they are players we should track and debate heavily over the next couple of months to iron out those takes. Note: All ADP data comes from the FantasyPros half-PPR consensus as of this publication. The harsh reality is that it’s going to be tough for Trey McBride to repeat as the TE1 overall, and therefore, make good on a top-15 overall ADP. McBride ran 694 routes last season, over 60 more than any other wide receiver — his teammate Michael Wilson was second with 630. Even more shocking, it was over 120 more than the next-highest tight end, Travis Kelce, with 573. It would be a massive disappointment if Arizona, which was in a severe negative game script and was relentlessly dropping back to pass for well over half of the 2025 season, repeats those numbers. Not to mention, if Marvin Harrison Jr. is healthy this season after missing chunks of time and playing through the back-half of the season with a heel injury, targets won’t be consolidated between just McBride and Wilson. Arizona also added a special receiving back in Jeremiyah Love. Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2026 NFL season The squeeze for targets and more competition won’t doom McBride’s production. He’s too good for that. But it will carve into his fantasy ceiling. Brock Bowers should be ranked as the TE1 ahead of McBride and even then, 15th overall might be a bit too rich for him, too. Collins was WR10 last year in points per game and generally kept pace with some of the non-elite WR1s from a scoring standpoint. His role as the X-receiver in Houston’s offense does make him a bit more boom or bust on a weekly basis than some can deal with but I have some hopes (based on their Year 2 receivers breaking into the full-time rotation) that he can move around more in 2026. My guess is that the last memory we have of C.J. Stroud is unfairly pushing down perceptions of the Texans offense, which has its frustrations regardless. Stroud was sandwiched between Patrick Mahomes and Sam Darnold in EPA per play among starting quarterbacks last year during the regular season. That’s a guy who is good enough to feed a WR1 the ball, at the very least. You can make a credible argument that Collins is just as good a or better bet as WRs Malik Nabers (17th overall), Rashee Rice (23rd), Drake London (24th) or George Pickens (26th). It feels like a massive leap for Hampton to be this high in the running back rankings but it does make some sense. He was productive in a limited sample, finishing the season as the RB15 in points per game over nine contests. Hampton was also playing really well right before he went down with an injury. The Year 2 jump is very available to him and he is pretty uncontested as the clear lead back in Los Angeles. The Chargers hired Mike McDaniel as their offensive coordinator and he’s well-known for his prowess as a run-game designer. There’s also a strong argument that Hampton fits an outside zone run game, which McDaniel should employ, better than the gap-based design of Greg Roman’s desires. There’s no doubt Tetairoa McMillan was extremely productive relative to his environment in his first NFL season, where he ended up winning Offensive Rookie of the Year and clearing 1,000 yards receiving. I’m also a firm believer that McMillan could be more consistently productive if he’s moved around the formation more often and takes fewer reps as the X-receiver. We saw the fruits of that theory in his massive Week 11 game against the Falcons, where he caught three passes for 31 yards and a score from the slot. He averaged 2.0 yards per route run from the slot as a rookie. The Panthers' drafting Chris Brazzell as a boundary stretch receiver should allow the rookie to take some sacrificial [... truncated ...]
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers broke the rookie reception record in 2024 and came into 2025 as the TE1 in consensus dynasty rankings. Not to be outdone, Arizona's Trey McBride broke the tight end reception record with 126 grabs in 2025, momentarily pushing Bowers to TE2 in those same rankings. Over the course of the offseason, Bowers has reclaimed the top spot in RotoBaller's dynasty rankings, and he projects as a true difference-maker for the foreseeable future. Bowers injured his knee in the first game of the season, but continued playing through a PCL sprain and bone bruise, though he was visibly hampered until the team opted to rest him from Weeks 5 through 8. Upon his return, he scored 14.2 Half-PPR points per game, but with Vegas trending towards the first overall pick, he was eventually put on season-ending injured reserve before Week 17. While the Raiders spent the offseason building around that first overall pick, which officially became Fernando Mendoza in April, they added very few meaningful pass-catchers, with Jalen Nailor representing the biggest addition to a room led by Tre Tucker in 2025. With Bowers just seven targets away from leading the team while missing five games and never playing at full health, the expectation is that he could lap the field in 2026, giving him an extreme positional advantage and making the 23-year-old tight end one of the most valuable players in both redraft and dynasty leagues
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers (knee) was a disappointment for his fantasy managers in his second season in the NFL in 2025 after going off for 112 catches on 153 targets for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns in 17 games in his rookie campaign. A knee injury in his sophomore campaign set Bowers back, as he ultimately played in only 12 games and finished with 64 catches for 680 yards and seven touchdowns. The 23-year-old former 13th overall pick in 2024 out of Georgia is still considered a top-15 dynasty selection at RotoBaller going into the 2026 season, despite his injury woes a year ago. Michael Mayer is still in town, but there's no debating that Bowers is Vegas' top pass-catching TE option when he's fully healthy. The Raiders' offense was putrid with veteran quarterback Geno Smith running the show in 2025, but Bowers' stock should rise in 2026 with some combination of veteran Kirk Cousins and projected No. 1 overall pick and Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza. If Mendoza pans out as a solid overall QB prospect, Bowers should be in good hands and in play as the yearly overall TE1 in fantasy for years to come
