Ja'Kobi Lane's Dynasty Upside in Baltimore is Clear
After recording 49 receptions for 745 yards and four touchdowns across 11 games in his final collegiate season at USC, wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Lane is one of two prominent rookie wideouts on the Baltimore roster, as the team also selected Elijah Sarratt in the fourth round. Entering his first NFL season, Lane should have a chance to emerge as an immediate contributor. Zay Flowers is Baltimore's clear WR1, but presumed WR2 Rashod Bateman is coming off a 2025 season in which he was both inconsistent and injured. With a new coaching staff in place, the Ravens could be looking to turn the page and go with their younger pass-catchers. Baltimore has typically been one of the NFL's run-heaviest offenses in the Lamar Jackson/Derrick Henry era, which could put a ceiling on Lane's fantasy production. Still, Lane has a clear pathway to a fantasy-relevant role in Baltimore and should be a target for dynasty managers who are focused on the long term

Derrick Henry Adjusting to New Offensive Scheme in Baltimore
Baltimore Ravens new head coach Jesse Minter said that All-Pro running back Derrick Henry will need to adjust to terminology changes this year under new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. The Ravens made some big changes in the offseason, firing long-time head coach John Harbaugh and adding Minter, who will be in his first year as a head coach in the NFL in 2026. Previous offensive coordinator Todd Monken left to become the Cleveland Browns' head coach. Henry and the other Ravens' offensive playmakers have expressed excitement about Doyle's new scheme as they look to bounce back from a frustrating 2025 season that ended without a playoff appearance. The 32-year-old Henry has a lot of tread on his tires after 10 years in the NFL, but he managed his seventh 1,000-yard season (fourth straight) in 2025 and will once again be Baltimore's featured back in his 11th campaign. He's RotoBaller's No. 8 fantasy RB for 2026 and should come off the board in the second round of drafts

We asked, you answered: which Ravens have the most to prove in 2026?
Last week, we asked Baltimore Beatdown readers which Ravens on offense and defense in 2026. For the first, there was one dominating answer: Rashod Bateman. The 26-year-old wide receiver is coming off the worst statistical season of his career, which included four games missed due to injury. His 2026 cap hit is an affordable $6.2 million, but that will jump to an average of $12.9 million over the following three years. At his 2024 production, that is a solid deal if not an outright steal. But Bateman averaged just 0.70 yards per route run and 5.9 yards per target while occupying a 69% snap share when healthy last year. That will not cut it in Declan Doyle’s new-look offense, especially with four young receivers drafted in the last three years sitting behind him on the depth chart. But there is plenty of reason to believe Bateman can bounce back. He stands to benefit from a refreshed scheme and a healthy Lamar Jackson as much as anyone else in the offense. Improved offensive line play in particular will open up opportunities downfield, where Bateman did most of his damage in 2024. Bateman’s 2024 season flew under the radar due to Zay Flowers ’ 1,058-yard campaign, but he was quietly one of the most efficient receivers in the NFL. He averaged 16.8 yards per reception and 10.9 yards per target – both top-10 figures leaguewide – and reeled in one touchdown every eight targets. A return to that production as the deep threat in Doyle’s new scheme would solidify his status in baltimore. On the defensive side of the ball, readers largely split their vote between fourth-year linebacker Trenton Simpson and second-year edge rusher Mike Green . Simpson, 25, is entering the final year of his rookie contract. He opened the 2024 season as the starting WILL linebacker next to Roquan Smith , but found himself on the bench by December. Last year, he lost out on the same job to fourth-round rookie Teddye Buchanan . Buchanan is recovering from a torn ACL suffered in December, giving him an outside chance at being ready for Week 1. But if the Ravens want to give him a longer ramp-up period, Simpson could have a path to playing time early in the season. Green was billed as a steal for the Ravens in last year’s draft, but he failed to live up to expectations with just 3.5 sacks and seven tackles for loss. Jesse Minter unlocked Odafe Oweh last year, so he might be able to do the same with Green. The 2025 second-rounder was asked to play a whopping 712 snaps as a rookie with almost 40% in run defense. But pass-rushing is his strength, and a healthy Tavius Robinson and the addition of Zion Young will allow him to spend more time chasing quarterbacks than setting the edge. Of the two, Green stands to make a more consistent impact off the edge. Defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver has double-digit sacks in sight for the 22-year-old, which would certainly qualify as proving himself. Simpson is somewhat of an X-factor. He could be headed to the bench once Buchanan is healthy regardless. But taking a leap to what the Ravens originally saw in him – an uber-athletic converted safety who could impact the pass game in coverage and as a blitzer – should keep him on the field in some capacity. At present, that feels like somewhat of a long shot, especially with Baltimore likely to run plenty of dime personnel this year. The Ravens are still tied for the best odds to win the AFC ( +500 via FanDuel ), but they now sit fourth in Super Bowl odds (+1100) behind the Rams, Seahawks, and Bills. None of these players can individually propel a championship run in Baltimore, but frankly, the entire team has something to prove this season. And hoisting a Lombardi Trophy next February might be the only way to do it

Ravens WR Rashod Bateman not participating in OTAs because of a personal matter

Bateman, though, has been in the building for much of the offseason. “Yeah, Bate’s been around ,” Doyle said, via video from Giana Han of the Baltimore Banner . “He’s dealing with some personal things, so he hasn’t been here for a little bit. He was here that first week, and we were able to work him in quite a bit. Then, he was here pretty much the whole offseason, every day. He’s an early morning guy, so a lot of times I’d be going to work out, and he’s in there doing stuff by himself at times. I’ve been pleased with him. Obviously, . . . we’re working with the guys who are here, and guys who aren’t, we’re expecting them to be working kind of on their own. But I’m excited for him to get back in here at training camp and keep rolling.” Bateman dealt with a high right ankle sprain last season, and caught only 19 passes for a career-low 224 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games

Rashod Bateman a Cut Candidate in All Dynasty Leagues?
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman has been extremely underwhelming in fantasy football throughout his five-year career. Despite having high draft capital as a former first-round pick, Bateman has never finished higher than WR40 in fantasy football. He has finished as WR69 or worse in four of his five pro seasons. Most recently, in 2025, Bateman was held to just 19 catches, 224 yards, and two touchdowns. Sure, he missed four games due to injury, but the per-game averages are still putrid. Plus, fantasy managers don't want receivers who struggle to produce and can't stay healthy. The only good news about Bateman's situation is that the Ravens made a coaching change this offseason, replacing John Harbaugh with Jesse Minter. Still, there's not enough optimism behind Minter to justify getting back on board the Bateman hype train. After five years of disappointment, managers can drop Bateman in all dynasty leagues
