Patrick Surtain II, Jonah Coleman, Tyler Badie, Jonah Elliss, Talanoa Hufanga, Jaylen Waddle, and Riley Moss are listed as questionable or out for the week, affecting the Broncos’ depth at multiple positions
The Broncos have a banged up secondary. It hasn’t mattered. Defensive coordinator Vance Joseph’s unit forced three punts, recovered a fumble and allowed only a field goal. The Broncos lead 14-3 at halftime. The Seahawks have 91 yards, including only 40 net passing yards, and are 2-for-6 on third down. Sam Darnold is 7-of-15 for 52 yards and has been sacked twice. Jaxon Smith-Njigba has only two catches for 11 yards. Sean Payton, who took over play-calling duties from offensive coordinator Davis Webb a game ago, has called a more balanced game with 17 runs and 15 passes, and the Broncos have 130 yards. The Broncos had scored only 23 first-half points in their first five games combined. Bo Nix is 10-of-15 for 78 yards, with running back RJ Harvey catching three for 31. J.K. Dobbins has 11 carries for 35 yards. The Seahawks lost tight end Elijah Arroyo, who injured his shoulder while trying to recover Rashid Shaheed’s fumble. He is doubtful to return. The Broncos have ruled out running back Tyler Badie with a left thumb injury

Broncos edge Seahawks 7-3 in Q2 with key plays from Dobbins, Badie, Nix, Engram, Sutton, and Harvey
The 49ers are trying to close out a win over the Broncos on Sunday afternoon and they won’t have the help of fullback Kyle Juszczyk the rest of the way. Juszczyk left the game with a knee injury early in the fourth quarter and the 49ers have now ruled him out for the remainder of the contest. They also announced that cornerback Upton Stout is questionable to return with a shoulder injury. The Broncos have also been hit by several injuries. Cornerbacks Pat Surtain II and Riley Moss have been ruled out while wide receiver Pat Bryant is questionable to return from an ankle injury. Jaylen Waddle’s first touchdown as a Bronco cut the 49ers’ lead to 17-12 and running Tyler Badie converted on a run to make it a three-point game with 4:05 left to play

Denver Broncos running back RJ Harvey (hamstring), who missed the team's Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, was listed as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, per the team. The Broncos' backfield is banged up heading into a primetime Week 3 matchup at home against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night. J.K. Dobbins (hamstring) left the Week 2 victory with hamstring cramping, and rookie fourth-rounder Jonah Coleman is now dealing with an ankle injury. The Broncos' only other RB on the roster is Tyler Badie. Dobbins might have the best chance of suiting up this weekend in Denver, but we probably will not have a clearer picture of how this backfield might shake out until later in the week. Harvey took over as Denver's lead back in his rookie campaign in 2025 after Dobbins' season-ending foot injury, but with Coleman in the fold this year, a clear path to a fantasy-relevant role is hard to see. The 25-year-old had just three carries for 18 yards in the season-opening loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and added four catches for 23 yards. Harvey's primary value comes as a PPR bench stash
The Broncos have tied the Jaguars in the fourth quarter, but they may be down another running back the rest of the way. J.K. Dobbins is questionable to return with a hamstring injury. RJ Harvey is inactive on Sunday, which leaves Jonah Coleman and Tyler Badie as the team’s available backs. That setback did not keep the Broncos from finding the end zone for the first time in Sunday’s game. Bo Nix found tight end Nate Adkins for a touchdown to tie the game 13-13 with over 11 minutes left to play in Denver. Adkins’s touchdown came after Broncos cornerback Riley Moss picked off Trevor Lawrence. The Jaguars quarterback will have to be sharper to pull off a road win over the Broncos for the second straight year
Word on Sunday morning was that Broncos running back RJ Harvey would be inactive for Sunday afternoon’s home game against the Broncos and that became official 90 minutes ahead of kickoff in Denver. Harvey was listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury and the team included him on their inactive list for Week 2. J.K. Dobbins, fourth-round pick Jonah Coleman, and Tyler Badie will be the Broncos’ running backs on Sunday. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger, wide receiver Marvin Mims, offensive lineman Kage Casey, tight end Dallen Bentley, defensive end Jordan Jackson, and defensive lineman Tyler Onyedim are the other inactives for Denver. The Jaguars deactivated quarterback Quinn Ewers, tight end Tanner Koziol, wide receiver CJ Williams, safety Jalen Huskey, linebacker Jack Kiser, offensive lineman Daniel Faalele, and defensive end Wesley Williams

The Chiefs and Broncos play the final Week 1 game, meeting on Monday Night Football. The Chiefs already had ruled out offensive tackle Josh Simmons (back) and safety Chamarri Conner (knee). Their healthy scratches are quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, tight end Jared Wiley, offensive tackle Diego Pounds, defensive tackle Bryson Eason and linebacker Jack Pyburn. Nussmeier is the team’s emergency third quarterback. The Broncos did not have any injuries heading into Week 1, so all of their inactives are healthy scratches. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger, running back Tyler Badie, offensive lineman Kage Casey, tight end Dallen Bentley, defensive lineman Jordan Jackson and defensive tackle Tyler Onyedim are inactive for Monday night’s game against the Chiefs. Ehlinger will serve as the emergency third quarterback. That means Jarrett Stidham officially held onto the backup job behind Bo Nix. Fourth-round rookie running back Jonah Coleman is dressed
The Denver Broncos kick off their regular season on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs tonight. The Monday Night Football matchup figures to be explosive as both teams matchup pretty well against one another. The Broncos will have rookie running back Jonah Coleman on the field in this game with Tyler Badie inactive. Big […]

One of the Broncos’ more noteworthy roster cuts on Sunday was running back Jaleel McLaughlin. The former undrafted free agent made the team as a rookie after a standout performance during the preseason and became a key member of the Broncos’ offense for a period of time. Despite being undersized, McLaughlin ran well between the […]
Which Ravens saw their stock rise or fall (or both!) in their preseason opener against the Eagles?
Denver Broncos rookie running back Jonah Coleman "had the best run of any RB in pads so far this camp" on Friday, according to Cody Roark of Mile High Sports. Head coach Sean Payton has singled out the fourth-rounder from the University of Washington as being one of the team's pleasant surprises early in training camp, and the 22-year-old will have a role in Denver's backfield in his first year in the NFL. However, despite his impressive performance this summer, Roark believes that J.K. Dobbins and second-year back RJ Harvey will get the primary reps and touches in the Broncos' backfield in 2026, with Coleman playing more of the Tyler Badie role as the RB3. At 5-foot-8 and 220 pounds, Coleman will give the Broncos' RB room something they've been lacking: a physical and tough presence between the tackles. But his weekly volume, at least to begin his rookie season, probably will not be there. Payton appears to be leaning towards more of a backfield committee, but that could all change if the oft-injured Dobbins misses more time in 2026. At best, Coleman will be an RB to stash in redraft fantasy leagues as a handcuff for Dobbins
Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports reports that Denver Broncos tight end Evan Engram is having a day in training camp practice on Friday, as he's been targeted multiple times with multiple catches during team drills, including a 50-yard bomb from quarterback Jarrett Stidham. Stevens adds that Davis Webb as the team's new play-caller "seems to be benefiting him a ton." Stevens added that Engram can "definitely" be a big part of the offense this year. The Athletic's Nick Kosmider writes that Engram has been "the standout" during the team's first 11-on-11 period in camp. The 31-year-old veteran TE also had a strong showing during mandatory minicamp last month, perhaps setting himself up to be a sleeper at the position in fantasy football drafts in 2026. Engram was a disappointment last year in his first year in Denver after head coach Sean Payton talked him up all offseason, ultimately finishing with a 50-461-1 line in 16 regular-season games. The Broncos have receiver Jaylen Waddle now, though, which could totally transform their offense and open up space for Engram to operate. RotoBaller has Engram ranked as only the TE34, but if he continues to impress during camp and gain the trust of Webb as a play-caller, his ADP could rise quickly as a TE2
For the last four seasons, Mitch Fraboni has been the Bronco long snapper (he was the LS for part of 2022). Long snappers are critical, but forgotten parts of every football team. Like offensive linemen, they only get noticed if they screw up. Mitch is not only a competent long snapper, but he is also a decent tackler, getting anywhere from four to six tackles on punt coverage every season. Mitch had four tackles (3.5) last season on 75 punts – only 29 of which were returned. The leader on punt tackles for the Denver Broncos last season was JL Skinner with 5.5.
