The Seahawks released another estimated practice report on Tuesday and it didn’t feature a change in status for wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba or defensive tackle Leonard Williams. Both players were listed as limited participants due to ankle injuries for the second straight day. The Seahawks will release injury designations for Thursday’s game against the Broncos on Wednesday. The only change from Monday’s report was guard Beau Stephens (shoulder) moving from limited to full practice participation. Linebackers Chazz Surratt (calf) and Drake Thomas (ankle) were listed as out of practice. Running back Zach Charbonnet (knee) and quarterback Drew Lock (right forearm) remained in the limited category while wide receiver Irv Charles (knee) and running back George Holani (ribs, knee) were listed as full participants

Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba stayed in Sunday’s loss to the 49ers after having his ankle heavily taped during the first half of the game and the issue landed him on the team’s injury report Monday. The Seahawks did not hold a practice ahead of Thursday’s game against the Broncos, but they estimated Smith-Njigba as a limited participant because of the ankle injury. Smith-Njigba had five catches for 102 yards and a touchdown on Sunday, but he dropped a third down pass when the Seahawks were trying to tie or win the game on their final possession. Running back Zach Charbonnet (knee), quarterback Drew Lock (right forearm), guard Beau Stephens (shoulder), and defensive tackle Leonard Williams (ankle) were also listed as limited participants. Linebackers Chazz Surratt (calf) and Drake Thomas (ankle) would have missed practice on Monday. Seahawks sign CB Trevon Diggs to their active roster
Cornerback Trevon Diggs made his Seahawks debut last Sunday and he moved up to the active roster on a lasting basis Saturday. The Seahawks announced that they have signed Diggs to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. He was elevated on a temporary basis last weekend and played nine defensive snaps. Diggs was a 2020 second-round pick in Dallas and made first-team All-Pro his second season, but knee issues sidetracked him in recent seasons. He remained with the team until he was waived last season. He played one game for the Packers and was released in January. Diggs has 242 tackles, 20 interceptions, a sack, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery for his career. The Seahawks placed rookie cornerback Julian Neal (hamstring) on injured reserve. They also downgraded wide receiver Irv Charles from questionable to out. Charles is on injured reserve and will need to be activated before he can play in a game

Charles, who was acquired in an offseason trade with the Jets, was placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed injury before Week 1. Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports that the Jets have agreed to terms with Tim Patrick. Patrick visited with the team on Wednesday. Patrick spent last season with the Jaguars and caught 15 passes for 187 yards and three touchdowns. He spent six seasons with the Broncos before moving on to Jacksonville, but only saw action in four of those years because a torn ACL and a torn Achilles forced him to miss 2022 and 2023. He played for Detroit in 2024. Patrick had 143 catches for 2,009 yards and 12 touchdowns in Denver. He had 33 catches for 394 yards and three touchdowns in Detroit. Jets General Manager Darren Mougey worked for Denver when Patrick was there and head coach Aaron Glenn was the Lions’ defensive coordinator in 2024. Jets signing veteran WR Tim Patrick to one-year deal: reports
The Jets have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with wide receiver Tim Patrick , per multiple reports. The deal is worth slightly more than the veteran salary benefit which goes for $1.075 million, per The Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt . Patrick had interest from other teams around the league, but the Jets scooped him up before anybody else as they view him as a culture guy and a quality veteran depth piece at a position that needs it, per Rosenblatt. Along with Garrett Wilson , New York’s depth chart at wide receiver includes AD Mitchel l, rookie Omar Cooper Jr. , Arian Smith , punt returner Isaiah Williams , Irvin Charles and a few others. At 32 years old and entering his seventh NFL season, Patrick will immediately become the elder statesman of the group. After playing four years with the Denver Broncos where he began his career, the veteran missed the 2022 and 2023 seasons, first with a torn ACL and then because of a torn Achilles. Patrick returned to action in 2024 and played for the Detroit Lions before spending last year with the Jacksonville Jaguars where he caught 15 passes for 187 yards and three TDs in 16 games. His best years, though, came in Denver. Between 2020 and 2021, Patrick combined for 1,476 receiving yards on 104 receptions to go along with 11 TDs in 31 games (all starts). In his career, the veteran has accrued 2,590 receiving yards on 191 receptions and 18 TDs in 87 games
