The Cowboys waived wide receiver Traeshon Holden to make room for the signing of outside linebacker Von Miller. Holden muffed a punt in Saturday’s preseason opener against the Seahawks, while undrafted rookie wide receiver Camden Brown caught three passes for 62 yards and a touchdown
Brown caught all three of his targets for 62 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday night's preseason game against the Seahawks. The undrafted free agent out of Georgia Southern stole the show, with the best play of the night coming on a 39-yard touchdown reception from Sam Howell in the second quarter. The 6-foot-2, 204-pound wide receiver will need to stack another strong performance in next Saturday's game against the Cardinals to truly move up a stacked Cowboys depth chart. Brown will need to beat out Jonathan Mingo, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and anyone else attempting to make the roster in order to take just the No. 5 spot behind CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Ryan Flournoy and KaVontae Turpin
Joe Milton III had a strong second half in Saturday's preseason win over the Seattle Seahawks, keeping him in the mix for the No. 2 job behind Dak Prescott
Undrafted rookie wide receiver Camden Brown is making a strong case for a roster spot with the Dallas Cowboys, following a standout training camp with two touchdown receptions in his preseason debut. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer praised his performance, noting his consistent play in practice and contributions on special teams. Brown previously played at Georgia Southern after transferring from Auburn, where he had a highly productive senior season

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Camden Brown caught all three of his targets for 62 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's preseason win over the Seattle Seahawks. The undrafted free agent out of Georgia Southern made several big plays, including a one-handed catch in the end zone on a contested pass from quarterback Joe Milton III. We can't put too much stock in a singular preseason performance, especially for a player who really hadn't generated any buzz up until this point. However, with that being said, a two-touchdown performance is nothing to scoff at. Plus, it's not like Brown doesn't have any track record at all; after three years at Auburn, he transferred to Georgia Southern for the 2025 season and caught 65 passes for 1,079 yards and 14 touchdowns. There's no need to scramble and add Brown in dynasty leagues, but it's at least a name to watch as the Cowboys whittle their roster down to 53 players over the next few weeks
The Cowboys signed Brown as an undrafted free agent Friday. Brown played at Auburn for three years before transferring to Georgia Southern ahead of his senior season. The wide receiver started 13 games in 2025, producing 65 receptions for 1,079 receiving yards and a whopping 14 touchdowns. Brown's scant production with the Tigers, for whom he recorded just 26 receptions for 280 receiving yards and three touchdowns, may have played a role in him going undrafted. If the 6-foot-2, 198-pound wideout can prove his athleticism translates to the NFL level, he could provide strong depth value to the Cowboys' offense and special teams
