Giants RB Cam Skattebo, despite a promising start to his rookie season before an ankle injury, expressed dissatisfaction and vowed to achieve historic numbers in 2026, aiming for over 2,000 rushing yards and 300 carries. He expects to be ready for Week 1
Cam Skattebo’s strong rookie season for the New York Giants came to an early end, as the running back suffered a brutal right leg injury in Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles . Despite playing less than half the season, Skattebo ran for for 410 yards and five touchdowns on 101 rushing attempts. Now he has his sights set higher for his second season. Much higher. “I do not consider that successful for me,” Skattebo said at a team town hall event on Monday night . “I had 400 yards on 100 carries. When I play 17-plus games this year, it’s going to be 300 carries for over 2,000 yards.” While that lofty goal drew hearty applause from the Giants fans in attendance at the Beacon Theatre, it would be one of the greatest seasons from a running back in NFL history. Only nine running backs have eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark, most recently former Giant Saquon Barkley , who accomplished the feat with the Eagles during the 2024 season. Eric Dickerson remains the single-season rushing record, when he ran for 2,105 yards for the Los Angeles Rams during the 1984 campaign. No Giants running back has ever broken the 2,000-yard mark. Tiki Barber remains the Giants’ single-season rushing leader , with 1,860 yards set back in 2005. But first, Skattebo will need to get back to the field. The second-year running back indicated on Monday night that he was well on track to do just that. “Obviously there’s ups and downs in the injury process and coming back and rehabbing, but the mental battle has been the hardest part: making sure that I trust it fully,” Skattebo said. “I’m a little ways out. Not too far, but I’ll be ready to go. Week 1, I’ll be ready to go.” Once he’s back, he’ll have a bigger goal in mind it seems
Cam Skattebo insists he will be " ready to go " Week 1 as he continues his rehab from a gruesome leg injury. That is good news for the Giants as the running back had 125 carries for 617 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie. Skattebo has much bigger goals for his second season. We’ve recently spent time forecasting the Philadelphia Eagles ’ depth chart for the 2026 NFL season. We started with the offense , moved on to the defense , and then finished up with the special teams unit . With OTAs starting up next week , here’s a prediction of who will actually make the final cut down to 53 players. We’ll continue to make updated projections throughout the rest of the offseason to reflect meaningful developments from practices and preseason games. ( For fun, take a look at my 53-man roster projection from this time last year .) QUARTERBACK: Jalen Hurts , Andy Dalton , Cole Payton (3) [3] The Eagles are expecting more from Hurts as a passer this season. It’ll be very interesting to see how he performs and how his future is impacted. The Eagles won’t trade Tanner McKee just to trade him but the guess here is that a team will eventually make a strong enough offer to acquire him. If McKee is gone, Dalton is clearly QB2. It’s been suggested that Payton could have a small role as a rookie ( Taysom Hill packages and/or Tush Push specialist) but he’ll likely be inactive as the emergency third quarterback … at best. It’s entirely possible he doesn’t even make the roster, just like Kyle McCord didn’t last year. RUNNING BACK: Saquon Barkley , Tank Bigsby , Will Shipley (3) [6] Barkley logged 136 fewer touches in 2025 than he took in 2024, so, it stands to reason he’ll be comparatively fresher for 2026. The question of his success is less about him, though, and more about the offensive line improving upon last season’s disappointment. Bigsby was an excellent ball carrier in limited action last season; he logged 5.9 yards per carry! But the Eagles oddly underutilized him and they shouldn’t do that again this year. The coaching staff seems to like Shipley as a dirty work guy (blocking, special teams) who might also contribute in two-minute drill situations. Dameon Pierce could contend for a roster spot but it doesn’t feel necessary to roster a fourth running back when the team could likely keep such a player on the practice squad. WIDE RECEIVER: DeVonta Smith , Makai Lemon, Dontayvion Wicks , Hollywood Brown , Darius Cooper (5) [11] Smitty is more than ready to take over as WR1 with A.J. Brown soon to be traded. I don’t think it’ll take us long to realize if Lemon is equipped to be a serious contributor as a rookie or not. I’m cautiously optimistic; it’ll be nice to see evidence of his talents translating to the NFL. Wicks is an underrated player who could thrive with more opportunity in Philly than he saw with the Packers . Brown’s deep threat ability and general veteran competence makes him worth keeping around. Wicks and Brown have combined for five career special teams snaps, so, they’re probably not going to help out in that category. The Eagles need to keep around a dirty work guy or two and Cooper showed he’s capable of playing that role last year while also flashing offensive potential. Johnny Wilson was a tough cut here; he was showing promise before suffering a season-ending injury in August. Would like to see him back on the field first before assuming he’ll pick up where he left off. Elijah Moore has never really been a special teams guy and there are too many players ahead of him on offense, so, he’s more realistically looking at a practice squad spot unless there are injury issues. The Eagles could try to have Britain Covey begin the season on the practice squad, which they’ve done in the past, and use up his temporary elevations early on to be their punt returner. Doing so would buy them time to open up a spot for him if they want him to stay around for the rest of the season. TIGHT END: Dallas Goedert , Eli Stowers , Johnny Mundt , Cameron Latu (4) [15] Goedert is still more than a capable pass-catcher but it remains to be seen what the Eagles will get out of him as a blocker. Stowers might have a smaller role than expected as a rookie; his college coaching staff only trusted him as a part-time p

This group of articles will take a look at the newly released Panthers schedule, review the opponents, and take our best guess at predicting the outcomes of each game. Here, we’re starting with the second “quarter” of the schedule, the second four games just after the Week 5 bye. The Eagles are a tough team to figure out this year. They drafted Makai Lemon in the first round and added a couple other wide receivers, and rumors are swirling about AJ Brown ’s impending trade. They also added to an already elite front four by trading for former Vikings pass rusher Jonathan Greenard and retaining Nolan Smith. Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean are young superstars, and the team added Riq Woolen in free agency to bolster that group even more. While Nakobe Dean walked in free agency, the team drafted Jihaad Campbell last year to help fill that void. Eli Stowers was drafted as well, combining with Dallas Goedert to make a quality tight end group. The Eagles are always talented, but oftentimes they are a bit Jekyll and Hyde. This might continue this year as Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni are still in town. Their defense is still elite, especially along the line and in the secondary. Saquon Barkley is not exactly in his prime, but Tank Bigsby was added as depth. DeVonta Smith combines with the other pass catchers to make a deep and versatile group. Any time a player of AJ Brown’s caliber leaves your team, however, there is bound to be some growing pains. Final: Eagles 24 – Panthers 13 A couple notorious Panthers killers are no longer in Tampa Bay as Lavonte David retired and Mike Evans and Rachaad White left in free agency. They did add quite a bit to their defense, though, signing veterans Alex Anzalone and A’Shawn Robinson. They also drafted Rueben Bain and Josiah Trotter. Baker Mayfield and the coaching staff is mostly intact from last year, though they do have yet another new offensive coordinator. Todd Bowles is undoubtedly on the hot seat, however. The Bucs do still have some talent, including Vita Vea plugging up the middle with Calijah Kancey . Ted Hurst was drafted in the third round to help replace the loss of Mike Evans, and Chris Godwin should be back healthy this season after missing a good chunk of last year. Final: Panthers 28 – Buccaneers 20 The Panthers second prime time game of the year is a Thursday night game at Lambeau. Luckily it’s early enough in the season that the weather should not be too bad. The Packers lost a couple wide receivers in Romeo Doubbs and Dontayvion Wicks . Rashan Gary was traded this offseason, largely because the team hopes Micah Parsons will be back and fully healthy at some point this season. Jordan Love is still the man under center, but they also added Tyrod Taylor as a fully capable backup. The team largely revolves around Love and that dynamic offense. Christian Watson is joined by second year receiver Matthew Golden , free agent Skyy Moore in the receiver room. A relatively weak secondary was addressed in the draft by taking Brandon Cisse and in free agency by signing Benjamin St-Juste . The depth at edge is also a bit of a weakness, especially with Parsons coming back from a torn ACL. The Packers are also going through some transitions on the offensive line, which could cause some issues. Starting left tackle Rasheed Walker left for the Panthers and Elgton Jenkins left in free agency as well. Final: Packers 27 – Panthers 23 The Denver Broncos surprised a lot of people last year, ripping off a 14-3 record largely led by their elite defense. To help on offense, the team added Jaylen Waddle and JK Dobbins. Bo Nix is still under center, and old nemesis Sean Payton and his permanent duck face is still the head coach. The team also still has a very good offensive line together, which will be important with Nix coming off a major ankle injury. The Broncos did not have a pick this year until the third round, so an influx of big name young players did not happen. The Broncos still have

Amid a near-total teardown and early-stage rebuild of their roster this offseason, the Dolphins ensured at least one of their cornerstones isn't going anywhere by agreeing to a four-year, $64 million extension with De'Von Achane last week, per CBS Sports lead NFL insider Jonathan Jones . It was a "put your money where your mouth is" situation. The Dolphins had already traded away both Jaylen Waddle ( Broncos ) and Minkah Fitzpatrick ( Jets ) by the time new GM Jon-Eric Sullivan said unequivocally last month Achane wasn't available for trade . Now, Achane has one of the largest contracts at his position. De'Von Achane Extension RB Rank Behind ... Total value $64M 1st N/A Average annual value $16M 3rd Saquon Barkley , Christian McCaffrey Guaranteed money $32M 4th Jeremiyah Love , Barkley, Ashton Jeanty The electrifying 24-year-old registered 1,838 yards from scrimmage last year, sixth in the NFL . His 5.7 yards per carry and 13.4% explosive rush rate were both highest in the league, too. Despite standing just 5-foot-9 and weighing just 191 pounds, Achane played in 16 games last year and recorded a career-high 304 touches, including a team-high 67 catches. The year before, he played in all 17 games and had 281 touches, including 78 catches, showing he's much more than the position name "running back" suggests. He's not alone in that designation, even in his own draft. The 2023 class as a whole, like all classes, had notable busts and notable hits, like Achane, who was a third-round selection. But the running back crop has been excellent, with first-rounders Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs ascending to superstar status, Achane on the precipice and fifth-rounder Chase Brown coming off his best season. Achane's extension brings the focus squarely on what Robinson and Gibbs could fetch this offseason. Because they were first-round picks, they have a fifth-year option on the contract, and the Falcons and Lions , respectively, exercised those options . ESPN's Adam Schefter has said that a Robinson extension should be coming this offseason. Two stars of Robinson's caliber in the 2023 draft class -- Will Anderson Jr . ( Texans ) and Jaxon Smith-Njigba ( Seahawks ) have gotten record-setting extensions already, in fact. Things are a bit more complicated in Gibbs' situation given the team's tight finances , ESPN's Eric Woodyard wrote in February. Gibbs is tied to Detroit for the next two seasons, but a second contract might not come this offseason. After all, the Lions decided against exercising All-Pro linebacker Jack Campbell's fifth-year option due to the looming cap realities. The counting numbers make it easy to see why the Falcons and Lions would want to keep Robinson and Gibbs, respectively. NFL ranks -- last 2 seasons Robinson Gibbs Yards from scrimmage 1st 3rd Touchdowns scored 8th 1st Plays of 10+ yards (among RBs) 1st 2nd That last line is crucial. In recent years, NFL defenses have focused on taking away big plays downfield. That makes players who can turn a short gain into a big one even more valuable. Robinson and Gibbs fit that description to a T. Over the past two years, Robinson has 202 tackles avoided, by far the most in the NFL. Gibbs is second with 162. Only one other player, Kenneth Walker III (who, not coincidentally, also got a nice pay day this offseason), is over 150. It's not just volume, either. Gibbs is tied with Achane for the highest explosive play rate in the NFL over the last two seasons; Robinson is ninth. Age is also on their sides. Robinson and Gibbs are both 24, and neither turns 25 until after the upcoming season. The NFL is obsessed with every data point, and especially age when it comes to running backs. Other top-paid running backs, such as Barkley, McCaffrey and Derrick Henry , were older when they signed their most recent contracts. This offseason, Achane and Breece Hall both got significant extensions in which their age was an advantage. Robinson seems more li

As fans may recall, Jalen Hurts , Saquon Barkley and co. suffered a heartbreaking 23-19 loss at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card round of the playoffs this past January after having advanced to the Big Game in February ’23 and ’25, And, while that early exit was certainly disappointing, the team suffered a similar fate in ’24 when they fell to the Bucs in the Wild Card round before winning it all in February 2025 (and snapping the Chiefs ’ Super Bowl streak). In order to keep this unusual pattern going, Nick Sirianni’s squad will have to maintain their winning ways in the regular season this year. Big games set to go down at their home Lincoln Financial Field include showdowns with Jayden Daniels ’ Washington Commanders (Sept. 13), Matthew Stafford ’s Los Angeles Rams (Oct. 4), Dak Prescott ’s Dallas Cowboys (Oct. 26), Sam Darnold ’s Seattle Seahawks (Dec. 19) and C.J. Stroud ’s Houston Texans (Dec. 24). Based on our findings at Yahoo! Editor’s note: Each day, Hogs Haven compiles a collection of articles, podcasts & tweets from around the web to keep you in touch with the Commanders, the NFC East, the NFL and sports in general, with a sprinkling of other stuff. Enjoy! The Athletic Stop the run. That’s been the key for Washington when facing the Eagles over the previous two seasons. In his past four games against the Commanders (including the NFC Championship in January 2025), Eagles running back Saquon Barkley amassed 546 rushing yards and eight total touchdowns. That’s an average of 136.5 rushing yards a game. The Commanders haven’t had a player top 136 rushing yards in a game in five years ( Antonio Gibson had 146 in Week 18 of the 2021 season). The Commanders revised their defense and will now operate in Jones’ system, which could look quite similar to Brian Flores’ defense with the Minnesota Vikings . But using a similar system doesn’t guarantee similar results. Last Man Standig In the spotlight Washington remains firmly on the national stage despite last season’s abysmal showing (0-8) in primetime or standalone games. This schedule includes at least five such contests, including the franchise’s first trip to London since 2016. The others include two Monday Night Football appearances, plus one each on Thursday and Sunday night. Fox Sports Record prediction: 6-11 Vacchiano: The Washington Commanders are counting on the healthy return of Jayden Daniels to vault them into contention, but even that could be tough unless the complete rebuild of their league-worst defense actually works. They’ll find out because they face six of the top 11 offensive teams from last season, plus two more teams ( Philadelphia Eagles , Cincinnati Bengals ) that could be in the top 10 this year. In fact, outside of road trips to Arizona and Tennessee , they don’t face anyone who doesn’t have a legit shot at the playoffs in 2026. Daniels’ return will surely give them a boost, but they are plugging in so many new pieces, including two new coordinators, that they might need time to figure it all out. But this schedule really doesn’t give them any breaks. Bullock’s Film Room Most people that posted this clip focused on first round pick Sonny Styles dropping back into coverage and catching an interception. But that part doesn’t really interest me. What interests me more is the schematics of the clip. They don’t have 11 players on the field, but what we do see is the skeleton of a 3-4 defense. You can see they have two edge rushers in rookie fifth round pick Joshua Josephs and second year rusher T.J. Maguranyanga, who made the team as part of the international pathway program last year. Behind them, Sonny Styles lines up next to Devin Harper , a tryout for the camp. You can also see undrafted free agent safety Malik Spencer just behind Styles prior to the snap. This clip shows some key principles to the 3-4 defense we’re expecting Jones to run. First, you’ll notice both edge rushers are trying to disguise their intentions pre-snap. They both walk back off the ball, telling you they’re playing outside linebackers in a 3-4 rather than staying on the line of scrimmage as 4-3 defensive ends. Then they suddenly walk up to the line of scrimmage just before the snap. As the ball is snapped, the offense doesn’t know if they’re rushing or dropping into coverage. As it turns out, Maguranyanga rushes off the left side of the line while Josephs drops off into coverage, which I’ll talk more about shortly. While Maguranyanga rushes, the other four players we can see in this clip all drop into zone coverage. This is another core part of the defense. The Vikings were aggressive blitzers last year but they played a lot of zone behind those blitzes and stayed in zone when they only rushed four. Jones shows that he’s bringing that idea here to Washington too. You can see both inside linebackers play hook-curl zones while Josephs sinks back to play the flat on his side and safety Malik Spencer

The Dallas Cowboys are in first place. That will remain a true statement for the foreseeable future, at least until the morning of Sunday, Sept. 13. And that is the primary reason for excitement in Week 1. Every team has a chance. Every team is in first place. Every team has a reason to be excited – even the Cowboys . Dallas is coming off another disappointing season, missing the playoffs for a second straight year, thanks in large part to a defense that simply wasn't good enough. The Cowboys spent the year trying to win shootouts, using a top-10 scoring offense to offset the defense that surrendered the most points in the league. That unit will be put to the test right away in Week 1 against a familiar foe that is also expected to be much-improved in 2026. COWBOYS SCHEDULE 2026: Games, dates, TV channels, predictions for Dallas Here's what to know about the Cowboys' opponent to open the 2026 regular season, including, date, time and more. Kickoff is slated for 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday, Sept. 13. It's a road contest at MetLife Stadium to open the season for the Cowboys and marks the 12th all-time matchup between these two rivals in the first week. The Cowboys have been dominant in these contests through the years, owning an 11-1 record against the G-Men in Week 1. The Giants hosted the last opening-week matchup against the Cowboys, a game that famously ended with Dallas winning 40-0 on "Sunday Night Football." This game is expected to be more competitive this time around, with no shortage of storylines or hype surrounding the matchup. John Harbaugh is set to make his head coaching debut for the Giants and it will also mark the start of Jaxson Dart's second season. Expectations are high for Big Blue as the team looks for a return to the postseason after a brutal 4-13 season. On the Dallas side, Dak Prescott gets ready to start his 11th season as a pro. However, the focus will be on the opposite side of the ball, where the Cowboys' new-look defense debuts, with Caleb Downs patrolling the secondary. Players like Quinnen Williams will be coming into the game off a full offseason with Dallas, after midseason trades shook up the roster. The unit will hope to be much-improved from a season ago and they'll have to be if the Cowboys are going to make any noise in 2026. The Miami Dolphins seemed ready to tear everything down on their roster this offseason, with one exception. They refused to entertain a trade of running back De’Von Achane . It seemed odd. The devaluation of running back around the NFL has been a notable trend. But the Dolphins, who traded away receiver Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos this offseason, wouldn’t budge on moving their young running back. Then Achane got a contract extension from the Dolphins, and maybe it makes more sense. Achane signed a four-year, $64 million deal on Wednesday. Achane did get a lot of money … for a running back. He’s the third highest-paid running back in the NFL in terms of value per year, behind Christian McCaffrey and Saquon Barkley . But among offensive playmakers, $16 million per season is perfectly reasonable for someone who can impact a game like Achane. He’s a highly paid running back but his contract would be a good value among receivers. Is it possible that the devalued running back has turned into the new bargain in the NFL? As running back values in the draft and in free agency lessened, the market for receivers skyrocketed. Alec Pierce might be the best example of it. Pierce was a second-round pick in 2022 and had little impact for the Indianapolis Colts through two seasons, never reaching 600 yards in a season. He took strides in 2024, leading the NFL in yards per reception and catching seven touchdowns, then in 2025 he built off that and had his first 1,000-yard season. Pierce had 1,003 yards and six touchdowns, then signed a four-year, $114 million deal to stay with the Colts before he hit free agency this offseason. There’s no question that Pierce, who has averaged more than 21 yards per catch the past two seasons, has a big impact and is an ascending player at an important position. But Achane’s deal is 56% of what Pierce got. Achane had almost twice as many touches last season (305) as Pierce has had in four seasons combined (156). Achane had 12 touchdowns last season, compared to 17 for Pierce’s career, and put up 1,838 yards from scrimmage. It’s not like Achane wasn’t efficient; he averaged a league-best 5.7 yards per carry. It’s reasonable to argue that a receiver like Pierce can impact defenses in different ways, and his value over replacement is higher than even the best running backs. But is Achane really just 56% the offensive player that Pierce is, as the contracts would indicate? Achane’s new deal would rank him 30th among receivers in terms of money per season, according to Spotrac . Among the players he is behind: Calvin Ridley , Michael Pittman Jr. , Jerry Jeudy , Wan’Dale Robinson and Romeo Doubs . He is also behind Rashid Shaheed , who signed a deal this offseason with the Seattle Seahawks at $17 million per season. Shaheed has tremendous value as a returner, but in half of a season with the Seahawks he had 15 catches and no touchdowns on offense. Does he have more value than Achane, who had 238 rushing attempts and led the league in yards per carry? The NFL thinks so. Money talks. Last season, the NFL’s shift toward the running game became a significant trend. More teams began running multiple tight end sets to attack defenses that got smaller over the years to cover spread attacks. Many blocking tight ends got good contracts this offseason, and many were drafted highly in April. Teams want to get explosive plays in the running game against defensive schemes with two deep safeties designed to eliminate those big plays in the passing game. It seems reasonable those offenses would covet elite running backs to maximize that approach. Achane is clearly elite. He is an explosive runner who is excellent in the passing game as well. He’s also just 24 years old. There could be concerns about whether he’ll hold up over the length of a long extension, especially considering he’s only 191 pounds. But in a salary cap world, the Dolphins decided that paying a running back $16 million per season was so valuable

The Dolphins wanted to keep running back De'Von Achane around. And they will. Per multiple reports, the two sides have worked out a four-year extension. Coupled with the one year left on his rookie deal, Achane will be under contract for five more years. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network describes the extension as being worth $64 million , with a maximum value of $68 million. Jordan Schultz characterizes the base deal as being worth $68 million . The difference is one million per year in new-money APY; it's either $16 million or $17 million. Either way, it puts Achane at No. 3 in new-money average, behind Eagles running back Saquon Barkley ($20.6 million) and 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey ($19 million). The details of this one will nevertheless become critical to understanding its true value. Regardless, Achane has gotten the second contract he deserved. Given the nature of the running back position, it's critical for former draft picks who have completed three years to get a new deal as soon as possible

New general manager for the Miami Dolphins — Jon-Eric Sullivan — has been very clear this offseason about his intention to keep running back De’Von Achane in an aqua and orange uniform for the foreseeable future. On Wednesday night, he made good on those intentions — inking the 24-year-old ball-carrier to a new contract that will tie Achane to the Dolphins for an additional four seasons. According to ESPN’s Marcel Louis Jacques, Achane and the team agreed to terms on a 4-year, $64 million extension ($16 million per year), with bonuses that could push the deal up to $17 million per season if certain conditions are met. The deal now makes Achane the third highest paid running back in the National Football League in terms of yearly salary — sitting behind only Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles ($20.6 million per year) and Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers ($19 million per year) according to Over the Cap . Since joining the organization as a third-round draft pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Achane has been one of the most explosive dual-threat playmakers in the National Football League. He has amassed 3,057 yards rushing on 544 attempts (5.6 yards per carry) and 22 rushing scores. His yards per carry average is the highest in NFL history. Achane has also caught 172 passes for 1,277 yards and 13 receiving touchdowns during his three years in Miami . Achane is now signed with the Dolphins through the 2030 season. He will be 29-years-old when his contract expires — giving Miami the running back’s prime years as a professional. EDIT: Adam Schefter of ESPN has confirmed that $32 million of Achane’s new contract is guaranteed
The New York Giants won’t be leaving the United States in 2026. The NFL released the full slate of internal games Wednesday morning on Good Morning Football, and the Giants weren’t featured at all. That comes as a bit of a surprise, as there were clues that the Giants might be traveling to Germany. The Giants will be playing the Detroit Lions this year, and the Lions had previously been confirmed to be playing a game in Germany. That was considered a potential clue because the Giants were awarded the global marketing rights in Germany last year. The Giants will be traveling to play the Lions, but they’ll only be traveling to Detroit. Tracking the Giants schedule release rumors Week 1 – San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams – Melbourne, Australia (Thursday, 9/10, 8:35 p.m. ET) Week 3 – Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys – Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (Sunday, 9/27, 4:25 p.m. ET) Week 4 – Indianapolis Colts vs. Washington Commanders – London, England (Sunday, 10/4, 9:30 a.m. ET) Week 5 – Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars – London, England (Sunday, 10/11, 9:30 a.m. ET) Week 6 – Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars – London, England, (Sunday, 10/18, 9:30 a.m. ET) Week 7 – Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New Orleans Saints – London, England (Sunday, 10/25, 9:30 a.m. ET) Week 9 – Cincinnati Bengals vs. Atlanta Falcons – Madrid, Spain (Sunday, 11/8, 9:30 a.m. ET) Week 10 – New England Patriots vs. Detroit Lions – Munich, Germany (Sunday, 11/15, 9:30 a.m. ET) Week 11 – Minneapolis Vikings vs. San Francisco 49ers – Mexico City, Mexico (Sunday, 11/22, 8:20 p.m. ET)
The New York Jets have signed running back Breece Hall to a three-year, $45.75 million contract extension, making him the third-highest-paid RB in the league. Hall had a career year in 2025 with 1,065 rushing yards and four touchdowns, plus 36 receptions for 350 yards and a score. Despite the new deal, his fantasy ceiling might be limited by the Jets' potentially poor offense in 2026 with Geno Smith at quarterback, placing him as a volume-based RB2
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley's ranking in dynasty fantasy football leagues has started to decline now that he's 29 years old. We don't quite know how many seasons he has remaining in his career, but we do know that there's still enough left in the tank for another big year or two. As a result, Barkley represents an interesting trade target for dynasty managers looking to win now. Since he's getting older, his price tag is dropping in trade talks, but he still has the potential to be the RB1 or RB2 on a championship-winning fantasy roster. After all, he was the overall RB14 in PPR leagues last year, and he was the overall RB2 just two years ago. Barkley is an elite athlete himself, and he should also benefit from the Eagles' top-tier offensive line being healthy in 2026. All signs point to him bouncing back as a potential top-12 fantasy running back. As a result, dynasty managers currently in their championship window should consider sending out an offer for the Eagles' superstar ball-carrier
Following a 2024 season in which he topped 2,000 rushing yards and garnered MVP buzz for much of the year, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley saw his yardage and touchdown numbers nearly cut in half in his second season with the team. Barkley ended 2025 as fantasy's RB14, his lowest finish in any season in which he played at least 15 games, and his first time finishing outside the top six under such circumstances. Injuries to the Eagles' offensive line and turmoil between quarterback Jalen Hurts and receiver AJ Brown left the offense as a whole looking out of sorts for much of the season, and Barkley's 378 total touches from the previous season rarely went unmentioned when discussing the struggles of a now 29-year-old running back with a history of durability concerns. The silver lining is that Barkley is a true athletic outlier in every sense of the word. Even at his worst, he still topped 1,400 yards from scrimmage while scoring nine touchdowns. The Eagles' offensive line is another year older, but when healthy, they remain among the top units in the league, and they could benefit from an increase in the zone-blocking schemes that new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion is expected to bring from the McVay coaching tree. Additionally, loudening rumors have suggested that the Eagles are prepared to ship out AJ Brown after June 1st, with the recent additions made to their receiver room doing little to dissuade the notion. Barkley will be 30 by Super Bowl LXI, but for contending dynasty managers, he still has the ability to far outperform his current RB10 dynasty ranking
