Bigsby played 10 offensive snaps this preseason before being rested for the final two exhibition contests. The fact he was rested for Weeks 2 and 3 of the preseason while Will Shipley played would suggest Bigsby has a firm grip on RB2 duties in Philadelphia behind Saquon Barkley. Barkley is entering his age-29 season with plenty of miles on his proverbial tires, and there's been talk out of Philly that the team wants to get Bigsby more involved to keep Barkley fresh. If something were to happen to him injury-wise, Bigsby would immediately enter the fantasy RB1 conversation in the Eagles' run-heavy offense that features one of the league's best offensive lines, making him the premier bench stash headed into the 2026 campaign

Tank Bigsby Has Become a Premium Insurance Back
Philadelphia Eagles running back Tank Bigsby has quietly strengthened his redraft case throughout his first full training camp with the team. Bigsby remains firmly behind Saquon Barkley, but Philadelphia's current depth chart has him second at running back ahead of Will Shipley, and he has regularly mixed in with the first-team offense this summer. A toe injury cost Bigsby one practice in mid-August, but he returned two days later without limitations and has maintained his place in the backfield. The 5-foot-11, 215-pound runner was explosive after joining Philadelphia last season, rushing 58 times for 344 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 5.9 yards per carry. He also showed what a larger workload could look like in Week 18, when Barkley rested and Bigsby turned 16 carries and one reception into 106 scrimmage yards and a touchdown. Barkley remains the clear centerpiece, and Bigsby's limited receiving involvement makes dependable standalone fantasy production difficult to project. Still, Bigsby has separated himself as Philadelphia's No. 2 back and has already shown he can handle more work when needed. That makes him one of the more appealing insurance backs to target late in deeper redraft leagues

Drumbeat Growing Louder for Tank Bigsby
Without the benefit of training camp with the team following an in-season trade from the Jaguars, Philadelphia Eagles running back Tank Bigsby saw limited offensive work and ran for only 344 yards in 2025. While the raw production is far from staggering, his 5.9 yards per carry were hard to ignore, especially with three-time Pro Bowler Saquon Barkley averaging only 4.1 yards per attempt behind the same banged-up offensive line. In his first training camp with the team, Bigsby has been praised for his physicality, and there is a growing belief that he could see a significant uptick in between-the-tackles work this season in an attempt to keep the 29-year-old Barkley fresh. While no one is reasonably suggesting a 50/50 split, Bigsby could see enough volume in 2026 to hold standalone value in what has been one of the league's run-heaviest offenses since Nick Sirianni took over in 2021. Bigsby is RotoBaller's RB46, and even if he is unable to carve out a flex-worthy role, he remains one of fantasy's most valuable insurance backs
