Jerry Jeudy: Frustrating not to be involved as much, but I just stay focused
Jerry Jeudy spent a lot of time as the top attraction in the Browns’ wide receiving corps over the last two years, but his role has changed in 2026. Rookies KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston moved to the top of the depth chart and the changing of the guard was illustrated by Jeudy having two catches on five targets through the first three weeks of the season. The last three weeks have seen Jeudy get more involved, including key late catches in wins over the Steelers and Ravens, but he’s still playing a complementary rather than a starring role in the offense. On Wednesday, Jeudy admitted that it’s not an ideal situation but that he’s still determined to be what quarterback Deshaun Watson and the offense need him to be. “It’s kind of frustrating not being able to perform or be involved as much as you like, but Deshaun, he just came up to me and he said, ‘Hey, I’m going to need you some of these games, man. I’m going to need you to lock in and stay focused,’” Jeudy said, via Dan Labbe of Cleveland.com. “And I heard that. I just continue to grind and continue to stay focused.” The change of circumstances has led to speculation that the Browns could move Jeudy ahead of the trade deadline. Jeudy’s seen that chatter, but declined to share any conversations he may have had with the Browns about it and said he’s “keeping it day-by-day” as the season unfolds in Cleveland

Tyson Campbell did not practice Thursday with ankle injury
Already thin at cornerback, the Browns are dealing with another injury at the position. Tyson Campbell did not practice on Thursday with an ankle injury, according to Cleveland’s practice report. He was not listed with an injury on Wednesday. Acquired from the Jaguars midway through last season, Campbell was on the field for 100 percent of Cleveland’s defensive snaps in the Week 1 loss to Jacksonville. He also played six special teams snaps. The Browns lack depth at cornerback, which could be an issue for the club against Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers on Sunday. Notably on the injury report, offensive tackle Dawand Jones (head) was upgraded from limited to full. Offensive lineman Parker Brailsford (thumb), defensive tackle Maliek Collins (quad), and offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins (back) remained limited. Guard Teven Jenkins (back) remained out of practice. Jaguars rolling Browns, lead 24-0 at halftime
The Jaguars are taking it to the Browns in Todd Monken’s debut as head coach and Deshaun Watson’s return to the starting lineup. Jacksonville scored on each of its first four possessions and is up 24-0 at halftime. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence was 13-of-18 for 166 yards with three touchdowns in the first half. Parker Washington, Brenton Strange, and rookie Josh Cameron were the recipients of Lawrence’s scoring strikes. The Jags outgained the Browns 234-95 in the first half. They have 16 first downs to Cleveland’s five. Jacksonville was also 4-of-6 on third down while Cleveland was 0-of-4. As bad as Watson was the last time he played in 2024, he might be worse now. The quarterback tossed an interception to linebacker Foyesade Oluokun to end Cleveland’s first possession. He nearly threw another pick to end the Browns’ second drive, but the pass fell incomplete. He was strip-sacked on the third possession, but was able to recover the fumble. He didn’t get anything positive going until a two-minute drive late in the second quarter, with a 20-yard completion to Jerry Jeudy. But then pre-snap and holding penalties derailed the drive and the Browns came away empty handed. Watson was 8-of-13 for 75 yards with one interception in the first half. Deshaun Watson was one of the worst quarterbacks in the league when he last played in 2024. He’s picked up where he left off. Watson tossed an interception to end Cleveland’s first drive of the season. Cleveland had been moving the ball, as Watson hit a few short, safe passes over the middle. But when he tried to hit Jerry Jeudy downfield on the left side, he was intercepted by linebacker Foyesade Oluokun. Oluokun returned it 22 yards to the Jacksonville 41, setting up his offense with solid field position. Jacksonville took advantage of the opportunity, with Trevor Lawrence hitting Parker Washington for a 30-yard touchdown to give the Jags a 7-0 lead. Washington had to dive to make the play, but clearly secured the ball while diving into the end zone for the score
